Well iv been trying to get Apoc to work on my Windows XP for a while now... still doesnt work... i run xcomapoc.exe and it goes and full screen goes black then shuts down to windows right where i just started

Game does not work out of the box. To get it working 100 this is what you have to do:
1. Install the nocd patch and fixes found in the file xcom3crk.zip (you have to search for it).
2. Install Mouse2k to make mouse work properly.

It says my computer meets all requirements except that this game requires 20 files/20 buffers, and my system has 40 files/0 buffers.

i just recieved xcom apoc. I can't get to run even with your suggestions. and some of the web sites won't pull up anymore.
