Copy protection software used in the game does not work well under Vista. If you install a newer title like the expansion pack for this game or another Microsoft game the upgraded protection code fails completely. The game is rendered unplayable under vista ultimate x64.

It wont start at all, Vista says that it has run into a problem. And it starts searching for a solution, when I look for the solution it says that the website cannot the wiewed, get the same problem for all solutions.

I have Windows Vista. Age of Empires II - Everytime I get into a game (5-15 min) the entire computer freezes. have to hold the power button down to shut te entire system off and reboot. Because AOEII is running a low quality screen resolution, when my computer reboots the screen settings are all messed up. Have to redo everything.

Have it installed on Vista Home Premium. Always freezes when im in the middle of gameplay. Frustrating as hell.
