GeekSmack reports that references to “Immersive Shell” confirm Windows 8's tile-based tablet UI
Over the last few months, rumors have been bouncing up and about the rumor mill claiming that Windows 8 will have a “second”, tile-based UI, that acts as an alter-ego for tablet devices and other form factors allowing for proper touch interaction. Along with the alternate UI rumor, reports have also hinted at an upcoming “App Store” and app model. Paul Thurrott recently published a post mentioning these rumored upcoming features, trying to say that they’re certainly going to happen without jeopardizing his sources.
