Drives only recognize contents at startup

All of my drives recognize their contents upon startup or restart and work fine, but if the disk that was in there at startup is removed and another disk is put in, the drive fails to recognize that there is anything in it.

Problem installing OS on DTK computer

A friend of mine has a DTK computer. He wants to dual boot WinXP and SuSE 9. 3. I have repeatedly attempted to install XP on this box, to no avail! It seems to format and copy the files alright, but when it reboobts, we get an error loading operating system message.

Hi guys, On my father's computer he somehow had directed hyperlinks in emails using Outlook XP to be opened with Spybot. Originally it was asking what program to use to open the hyperlink and he selected something he trusted.

Hello, My problem is that my computer in a way will up and freeze but will not shut off. More how a dying Power Supply would do; but when this happens nothing really shuts off, just freezes constantly until i manually restart it.

Hello, i just bought a cheap mobo for my sister (ECS KM400-M2) i put everything together and started it up. . i usually use a floppy to format the drive, then i go to install windows 98 and then windows xp from there.

Ok, now I have read some of the other threads dealing with mechs jumping into the air when they come close to APCs/Tanks. Well, If only I were so lucky. When I get close to an APC/Tank, the game will freeze for about 2 seconds,then release me right back to the desktop with absoloutely no error or dialog.

i just got a new computer and i cant get dsl on them both for some reason. is there a way to transfer an xp version to download onto it from a windows 2000? i really want to play theif2, but for some reason the directX download that came with it isnt working.

I am currently running (but not for long, if this don't change!) SuSe 9. 3. I have a Kodak CX4310 digital camera. When I was using Fedora Core 3 or 4, or Centos, or Mandriva, these OS's auto detected my camera, and imported pictures effortlessly.

Firstly i apologise if i'm being a moron and have posted this in the wrong place. I have only had my home PC about amonth and have 2meg broadband with BT. All has been working ok but last night i had an error (680) with connecting claiming there was no dial tone to be found.
