Promise Controller Problem?

I got a problem with my server. It rebooted for some reason an I found it stuck at the Fastbuild utility for the on-board raid. It said that one o fthe disks is unplugged or failed. I checked the connections, rebooted up to windows (on the other disk) and windows proceeded to install the other HD as a new HD.

Recovering a partially defective CD and or AVI file?

Hey Gang, I have a CD with a 700 MB avi file on it. When I try to copy it to my Hard Drive I get a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) error. Which basically means it's about like a record stuck at a specific point.

Help! I installed Command and COnquer 95 on my XP computer, and it didn't work, I tried the compatibility, that didn't work, and then I tried to copy the exe file onto my desktop, and now I can't delete it! How can I get rid of it???

I've been playing 7th guest on my Dell laptop. It's been absolutely fine up until the point when you should be going into the attic. We cannot go in that door. we've solved every puzzle but the hated microscope game and been through every room again.

Cable to Hi-Speed not working

My problem is plain and simple I have recently switched from regular cable by mediacom to Hi-Speed cable by mediacom. The problem is my Hi-speed internet is not hi-speed its still regular cable and the download speeds are only 4.

I am just wondering if this motherboard is a decent one. I have never dealt with the brand that it is, but it is PCI-Express and comes with an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ for 250 bucks, so its a very good deal.

Stock temps on X1800XL and other heat issues

I recently purchased an AIW X1800XL (great card, by the way) and I am using it in my HTPC (ensure you have a large case for this card - it goes all the way to the opposite edge of the motherboard). I replaced the stock cooler with a Zalman VF700-Cu LED VGA cooler and Zalman RAMsinks.

I have what may be an obvious question. When you play games, any games, at a higher or lower resoltion than your destop resultion you get screen shrink. The different resolution has a different refresh rate, and isn't formatted to fill your screen.
