Alright, I bought a new hard drive this last summer (Western Digital 160gb, if it makes any difference), and I use that as the drive to store mp3 files and such, and on two occasions, one a couple months ago, one about 20 minutes ago, I noticed that a number of my music files would seemingly disappear.

Hello, im having some trouble running Resident Evil 2 on Windows xp Im already aware of the problem where you have to put compatibility to win95, or else, your saved games won't load. The problem im having is that the game is VERY slow.

I hope I put this in the right place. A friend recently purchased a Dell with Windows XP. It won't let her install the original driver for her HP Scanjet 4100C scanner (keeps saying not compatible with XP, and can't bypass).

Im running xp. do i need sp2? if i visit windows update regularly and have downloaded all the updates for sp1 and i use a third party firewall, and antivirus do i really need sp2? my computer runs much better with sp1 but i will sacrifice a little for a more secure pc if sp2 is necessary.

When I install the game it says an error on the 1st CD. Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Program Files\Midway Games\Area 51\LEVELS\MP_00\FLOW\RESOURCE. 000. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Oni´s error message is quite fun. When I launch it with no compability mode, I see the intro and after that, an error says: Blam, Oni Crashed!. When I use a compability mode, I can´t see the movies and a different error appears.

I have tried installing Office 2000 (SR-1 integrated) and Office XP on my computer, however, winword. exe crashes within 5 - 30 secs after opening Word. I am running a fresh install of Windows 2000 (SP3 slipstreamed cd), and have only upgraded to IE 6.

for some reason. the cd of turok2 does not playback the music tracks when you play the game on win xp. on older win os like win 95/98, it plays back the music tracks fine. Its not that I dont have digital audio play back enabled on my cd-rom drive, because it is enabled and all the other games that I have that play ...

I have windows XP with SP2 and all updates. Recently when I went to install the new version of Quicken I get a messagebox about needing a higher version of windows then I currently have. I also went to re-install norton anti-virus and I recieved a similiar message.

LAN adapter wont work.

Hey guys. Im not sure if this falls under networking but i have this wierd problem with my LAN adapter. Its integrated into my mother board and its called VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter For some reason it won't detect a connection even when i plug in the network cable.
