Need Help! Not sure what I have!

Hi. I think I've picked up a virus or something (my computer not me!) I'll be scrolling or typing and the screen will freeze up to a minute or so and then unfreeze. It's happening every few minutes now and even when I'm not online.

How to remove GRUB loader!?

I deleted all linux partitions with Partition Magic and converted them to FAT32. When i restart my computer the GRUB command line thingie loads and the computer doesn't boot any startup disks or windows cd's.

Reformatting to factory settings

Hi guys hope you may be able to help. I have a HP Compaq nx6120 laptop. I believe this machine has a hard drive compartment as I do not have a Windows XP disc withit. Could someone please give me an idiots guide on how I would reformat this laptop back to factory setings.

Am just wondering if anyone's had any problems at all with the multi-iconed Google toolbar for Internet Explorer, that's widely available? I myself don't have the Google toolbar at present and am thinking of perhaps installing it.

i have a problem that my computer crashes all the time under crash i mean that everything stops. . mouse doesn't move and no button functions. . only one is RESET okay. . the crash happens mostly if i download smthing it includes going to some webpage.

Random freezing with new mobo.. Plz Help !?!?!?!

I just installed a new motherboard into my girlfriends computer, She had an ECS K7S0M+ 1000Mhz with 480Mb DDR Ram PC-266. I bought a PCChips M8636G (mobo and AMD 2. 15Ghz Processor Combo) becuase it works with the exsisting ram.

If someone can help me solve this problem it would be great. I'm building a new comp. with a ECS K8M890M-M (V1. 0) mobo. I've connected all the wires and tried powering it up. The psu fan cpu fan and all other fans are working.

desktop. . . . i resently did softwear repair wizard. and now the computer did runs fine than it restarts out of no where and it wont let me get to the desktop. even when i attemp to get to my desktop to get into safemode it restarts itself.

Hey guys, its me again, from this thread: Anyway, that thread looks like its been pruned, but I had solved the problem of no booting by RMA'ing the mobo. However, since I've installed the new mobo, I've had problems nonetheless.

Hi, One of my favourite games stronghold crusader always freezes with no explanation. I play for about half an hour then it stops. ive restarted my computer and reinstalled it but it still freezes. it only started a few months ago.

I recently purchased a ASUS P4V800D-X motherboard and installed it in a P4, 2. 4, 1g memory. Installed new copy XP Pro, applied service packs, etc. I have a Lite-On LTR 52327 S CDR-RW and the BIOS recognizes the CD but after POST it doesn’t seem to exist.

Hi i bought a laptop and it had a pre-installed Linpus Linux Os. I wanted to remove that and install Windows Xp. So on boot up, i deleted that partition and formatted it to NTFS. (b'cuz there wasnt anyother option).

AMD 64 3200 1gb Ram Realtek onboard 5. 1 sound Nvidia 7600GT WinXP corporate (not SP2) DX 9a Can install and run the game fine but the cutscene movies run at about 100 times the speed. I can't seem to slow them down at all without making the game unplayable.
