WD recognised by XP but not shown in explorer

Hope somebody can help me. It's an old topic. Have a 3 year old WD Passport and it worked fine so far. It's formatted to NTFS. I gave it to a friend to copy some of my stuff from the drive. She has Vista on her laptop, I have XP.

Monitor Goes White....

I have been experiencing this problem lately with my flat panel monitor. I was working with Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 printing some large photos. When I closed out of PSP 9 and went back to the desktop the screen was white.

MSDTC - Update causes Apps to fail

I have 2 applications I use rather much, the Visual Basic 4 IDE and Windows media player Version 2. If I were to update the MSDTC in any regard (either by KB913580 or Installing. Net Framework 2. 0+) the apps will fail to start.

Odd 3DO malfuction.

This is gross personalization of computers, but mine seems to be biased against, of all things, the long extict company 3DO. When I put the disc into the drive, my computer puts up the innocent, yet incredibly annoying, unknown publisher window.

vista will not boot up anymore

Hello everyone. I have a weird problem. I had XP and Vista installed on different partitions of a SATA2 320Gb Seagate and everything worked great. Also I had a grub boot loader, don't know how I installed it but there it was and I only discovered it now, at the same time my problem appeared.

AMD Phenom ][ Model 955 CPU

Has anybody noticed these new CPU's reporting their core frequency different to the OS ??? I just upgraded my Phenom Model 9850 to this new CPU and now both Vista and Windows 7 reports a core speed of 800MHz instead of 3.

Okay guys, I tried everything, I saw another post about this but none of its guides worked. so now i'll give u a precise action of what i did: 1. Inserted CD1 of Red alert into the DVD/CD drive. 2. Cancled the auto run and went into explore the disk.

Problem in Playing Red Alert 1

I have successfully installed the red alert 1 which i downloaded the disk files from internet (allied disk and soviet disk) when i run the RUNGAME. EXE, it says PLEASE INSERT A RED ALERT CD INTO THE CD ROM DRIVE FYI, i have burned a cd named CD1_ALLIED_DISC but still it require disk.
