W2k and CLID (Caller line Identification)

When I try to connect to my ISP (Claranet), it can take upwards of 15 redials to connect. If I connect to other ISP's (e. g. Freeserve), it connects first time. Claranet connects first time in Win98SE.

A computer I'm working on reports the following in the Event Logs: wmi The description for Event ID ( 54 ) in Source ( WMI ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.

3.66 only working Win2k Geforce driver ...

I tried all Nvidia beta drivers - the latest drivers that run stable (no lockups on desktop) are 3. 66 beta with Powerstrip force 1x agp. Everything else (tried 3. 69, 3. 72, 3. 75 and 3. 76) lock up randomly on the Win2k desktop - and in Everquest.

My Lexmark 3200 series jetprinter is not getting used because of the lack of drivers from lexmark. Does anyone know when the drivers will be out? Or. . . . . it will never come out?\ This sucks!!.

UDMA under Win2k

Okay, this is my one little problem with Win2k (other than no Banshee drivers that work properly), I can't get UDMA working! I have a board based on the ALi 1531/33 chipset with a M5229 Bus Mastering IDE controller.

Crazy, small problem with Half-Life, Win2K and 770 Ultra TNT

Strange problem. . with Half-Life. . Running latest version. CLEAN INSTALL OF WIN2K. . . When launching Half-Life everthing seems fine. . Finally when game launches I still can see the previous screen before the game launch screen over the top of the current game.

Really big huge mega bad problem

I got this stuff, it was from radio shack. fm tuner. put it in. and i got the windows 95 drivers. it said something was not working. so i restarted adn got blue screen. i tried hax0ring the bios with minimal success.

Ive got a MS Force Feedback Pro stick, this works with sidewinder auto detect driver just fine. I cant however get the profile software to install off the CD. This is annoying as all the buttons on the stick cant be configured.

Anyone have any information on the status of the drivers for the Cisco 605 for Win2K? I know Intel purchased the card from Cisco, but while talking to US West one tech (who seemed somewhat in-the-know) said people were able to get the 605 to work under Win2K.

SuperMicro P6DBS UWSCSI not working

YuppieScum, You have the same mobo as I do, yet I cannot get the Dual UWSCSI chip to recognize under the OS (it only shows as Unknown PCI device). Is there a driver, or procedure I need to know about it? Or has my motherboard chip gone kaplooey? :}.

Does anyone know if a 3Com U. S. Robotics ISDN TA Terminal adapter (External) works in W2K with the supplied USB Cable. The Hardware compatible list says it works, but doesn't state if this was using the USB connector.

Whats with DX7 & Win2K?

I was under the impression it was supposed to be a fully functional DX7. I have a Voodoo3-3000 AGP with the retail drivers. They show D3D is enabled in DXDIAG. But so many games that require DX6 do not work.
