ie5 crashed w2k .is that possible?

i 've using w2k for 2 months and never had a crash. until today. when i was surfing the net with ie5 , computer crashed. no bsod no error message. i just freezed. i had the same problem in w98 so often, that was the reason i am using w2k now.

DVD on Win2000 final

I have a Gateway GP7-500 that came with a CD-ROM that also plays DVD disks. Having never tried a DVD on it even under Win 98, I'm not sure how they work. Should it play DVD's automatically or does it require special software and/or drivers? Does it require anything special under Win2000?.

Win2k locking up on standby/hibernate

This problem just started. When I go to standby mode, I hear my drives power down and click off, yet the monitor stays on and freezes, forcing me to cold boot the system. It does the same with hibernate.

agp2x with GeforceDDR on Athlon systems

Hi, I have a athlon cpu and a creative anhilator pro (geforce ddr) card. just last night i noticed that it is not running at agp2x but only at agp1x i was wondering as to how it can be changed so my geforce card takes advantage of agp2x thanks, chudy.

Hey Hey ! Final Fantasy Crashes on my System after the first Video (The Eidos Commercial her in Germany) and i'm back an my win Desktop. I'm using a Geforce DDR with the 5. 13 Drivers (The same happens with the official Drivers) 256meg Ram and a P3 450.

Studio PCTV & Hibernate mode

Hi everyone ! Do you know how to correct the problem i encountered with my Miro PC TV since i've downloaded and installed the driver studio 4. 0 (for w2k) In fact, it prevent win2k from entering hibernate mode i got a messagebox saying Studio PC TV prevents from entering entering hibernate mode , try to update.

Army Men 2 w/ Win2k

ALi V Chipset Drivers?!?!?!?!?!

Does anyone have a clue when ALi is gonna come out with there damn chipset drivers. My video card is a nvidia chipset but my mobo has ALi. Damn i wish i would have looked into ALi first. Anyhow anyone have any beta drivers or actual drivers???.

Weird Problem With Multiplayer Motocross Madness

While Motocross Madness runs fine under W2K - there is an odd problem if you try to join or host a game on the zone. It does not appear to get any multiplayer info (e. g. IP addresses etc from other players) and starts in single player mode.

Halflife / Exiting / Crashes

Everytime I exit Counter Strike Half Life, I get Invalid Page Fault in Non Paged area. I heard a couple other people get this to. Any ideas why this is, and possible ways to fix this annoying problem? BoDEAN.

Harder upgrade--3.1 to 95 or 98 to 2000?

I think that uprgrading from 3. 1 to 95 was a lot harder upgrade for everything. Drivers and software and hardware. OH NO. NO DOS! Games suck in Windows Windows will never run games as good as Dos. Look at Doom 1 and 2.

Direct X on Windows 2000

Hi All does anyone have any ideas on how to reinstall direct X on windows 2000 without reinstalling the whole O/S from scratch. The reason I ask is the Direct X has become corrupted on my Win2000 computer and applications that use it now fail to work.

They were supposed to be released in mid-march and now march is over in a day and no word or anything. I say we riot and go kick them in their faces. I hate not being able to play quake3 in w2k. .

New Banshee Drivers = crap

Followed the readme instructions step for step. Setup copies files, screen flashes, and then error pops up an error occured during the installation of the device. The system cannot find the file specified.
