Quake3 with Win2k and Voodoo3

I have win2k and a voodoo3 2000. I have installed the voodoo3 card just as it says in a readme I found on this page. Quake3 starts and runs for about 20 seconds then throws me out and the gamma in windows gets very bright.

Q3 won't start under Win2K (Diamond FireGL1000Pro)

I just installed Win2K and the 1st thing I wanted to try was Q3. I installed it, but it won't start. It says Couldn't open ogl subsystem. . or some crap like this. I have a Fire GL1000Pro. I ran Q3 on NT4 with no prblems.

alright. . . ran a few demos, worked fine. . . till I typed r_smp 1 at the console. Exited, re-entered the game, and it went to a gray screen at my desktop resolution, with the gamma jacked way up. Then it sits till I go to taskman and kill the q3 processes.

I can see that the 1212u is working if you manual shows the installation (added under New Hardware on NT Compatibles homepage), where the files is, but I get no such option, and when I try to run ScanWise it say Please connect or switch on your scanner ?? Any suggestion Kenneth

only 2.08 drivers work for TNT2 M64 card

I'm reading here about people getting D3D to work on their TNT2 cards, but I'm having no joy. I suspect it's because I have to use the nv4_mini. sys from the 2. 08 detonator drivers in my system32\drivers.

On the main page of this site it list a user getting the DXR3 board working under w2k, it says to use the alpha hollywood plus win2k drivers Where do I find these drivers? Thanks

Freespace 2 demo won't let me play

I have installed the Freespace 2 demo under RC1. Eveytime I start it up, it says that the video settings need to be choosen. It autodetects the card just fine, but as soon as I click OK and try to click play, it says that I need to select a video mode.

I can't get my W98 box to share my w2k server internet connection. My win2k prof comp can connect just fine. The w98 comp can browse the lan network. The server has a LAN NIC and an Internet NIC. The w98 has default gateway set at 192.

I tried the new drivers and UT looks smoother than under w98. There are some little glitches. . PoP3D works, midtown madness But my favorite game driver gives a error on startup, plz help.
