Kensington Drivers

I asked Kensington the other day when their Win2k drivers would be available (since their site has said soon since February). Their answer: October. . . . October?!? WTF?? Anyone know of a solution to my problem? I need a 3 (at least) button trackball which I can program at least one of the buttons to lock the left ...

Creative Webcam 3 Poor image quality.

Hi there, I just installed the win2k drivers for this webcam and it works just fine. My problem is that I have a really poor image quality and I don't remember the image was this bad under win98. Has anyone got the same problem ? Thanks.

Whem I run the timedemo in Q3 with my old Geforce at 1152x84 with everything turned on I get 41. fps With the new card I get 71 FPS If you can afford it this is a must buy! Will Canon ever make drivers. I called them up and e-mail them. They told me No Canon isn't making drivers for that printer. Does anyone now a walk around or anything?.

Quake 2 & Windows 2000 Professional

Oh dear. . . . . . . . . . For some reason known only to God and Gates Quake 2 will not install under Windows 2000. The message i get after clicking the installation prompt is that This version of Quake II will not install on to this language version of Win95/NT.

I noticed on the compatibility list, GF crashes a lot on Win2K. It does for me. Is there any way to bring that # down? The demo worked great. The release is a nightmare. .

Video out + win2k detonator 2 drivers

Is it just me, or are other people highly irritated that you have to reboot to enable video out and reboot to change back to your monitor? I mean, video-out is for playing games and stuff, its not really for your desktop.

Before i got my sweet intellimouse explorer, i used ps2 rate with my mouse. It was so smooth at 200mhz, but when i got my new mouse, it was usb. it is smooth and all, but myfriends that still use ps2 have a much smoother mouse.

In windows 2k the print speeds are very bad due to the fact the print head sweeps accross the page every other second, I tried the latest 2k drivers and they dodn't help one bit so I went back to Windows 98 where the printer works perfectly.

Many thanks Frogmaster! Having completely failed to sort out the locale settings with Windows 2000 and Quake 2 i followed your advice and Quake 2 runs like an absolute beauty! I'd still like to know why that bloody error message came up, but anyway.

Windows 2000 Queries - Games/OpenGL/STAC Compression

I've recently been struggling with Windows 2000 to make it run to the best of its ability for my needs. Here are my problems/queries: OpenGL in Windows2000 leaves a little to be desired. I am an avid quake2/3/half life player and therefore OpenGL is very important to me.

Hollywood + DXR3 + w2k = AC3 problems

I installed the hollywood+ beta drivers, the nt4 drivers, then the applications (DVDstation and Encore player). On both the DVDstation and Encore player, my AC3 is screwed. Out of synch by a fraction of a second, on ALL my movies.

Question on Downgrade

I installed Windows 2000 about a week ago, but I'm very disappointed in the Viper II drivers from S3, which are horrible. They over smooth fonts to make them unreadable in some cases, and I can only play Quake 3 now.

I have WinNT sp6 PIII 800Mhz (dell) and a SB Live card running a 3D Prophet DDR card. My problem is when I run Half-Life in OpenGL-default mode it crashes after about a minute(needs power off) with the sound in a repeated loop.
