NVidia drivers and stability

Hello all. It's been a while since I've been here. . . (been just a little busy - I got married!) Anyway, I thought I throw in my two cents concerning NVidia drivers. Now, I'm a business user mainly so I'm not applying every NVidia Detonator release that just happens to be found on the internet.

Does anyone know of the direct download link for IE 5. 01 SP1. The links on all the sites take me to IE's website but all I see listed under the Downloads section is all the patches separate. Is there not a combined file with them all?.

MODEM !!!! PCI !!!!!! HELP

I have win 2000 and my PCI controler has a ? on it. It says that i need top update the drivers for this. I also notice that my modem is completly undetected. I think i need to d/l drivers for my modem and this will fix the PCI prob to.

Win2k Game Patch ?

Wondered whether the official Microsoft Windows2000 game patch (released a while ago i thought) was worth installing. . . I play mainly Half-Life Counterstrike, and a few other new games. . . its not likely to mess up anything is it.

creative tnt2 ultra agp wont work in win2k

I have just recently ionstalled win2k and when I wanna change the screen prop. I see tha tinstead of the tnt2 card win2k uses an vga card. . and the cga card has a conlfict with e the agp slot. . and in device manager i see that the tnt2 car d cannot start.

converting win2k partition to FAT32

Hey guys, Ever since I got win2k I've been converting my partitions to fat32 and one of the few remaining ones is the one that win2k resides in. I've been hesitant to convert it (i'm using Partition Magic under 98).

Quake 3 on Win2000 w/G400MAX

Matrox has currently nixed the idea of creating a turbogl patch for Win2K. Thus, Q3 won't run and proclaims an Open GL error. Any ideas? Is there a work-around? Would love to see the performance possiblity and stability of Win2K.

Hi. I have problem with MS FF-Wheel (not USB)in Win 2000 Pro. I have tested it with many games, but it keeps braking all the time. Anyone knows how to fix it? I Have SB Live value where this wheel is connected.

Please can somebody help me, i'm having problems running Quake 3 arena on windows 2000, using a pentium 3 600mhz, Voodoo 3500 graphics card, other games run fine i. e Unreal Tournament, Soldier of fortune.

I'm having some problems getting Windows 2000 to run Rainbow Six. I tried the registry hack from the compatibility page and it didn't seem to work. If some one can help me I would sure appreciate it.

TNT, Win2k, and emulators

Why is it that running emulators (snes9x and callus specifically) in full screen stretch mode is so horrible in 2k? The framerate stinks, and I don't get that nice edge antialiasing effect that I get in 98.

On any machine with NT4 SP6a or prior and a GeForce 256 board (except the DDR), everytime you'll try to view a. AVI movie file with the Windows Media Player, you'll get a major crash (complete freeze)with the only remedy being a hard reboot.

Ok. I know that a lot of us have been having the same problem. It's the problem with any Nvidia drivers past 3. 66. Basically, I get random lockups in my games with any of the latest drivers and even the occasional one with 3.
