I am running Win2k on a p3 933, soyo sy-6vca (via133a chipset) w/4in1 4. 24, sblive platinum w/liveware 3, and a leadtek geforce ddr w/ detonator3 6. 18. UT is patched to 4. 28, Unreal is patched to 2.

TCP/IP Stack Dies After Any Install or Reboot

Hi. . . Okay, I'm running SP1 (in upgrade fashion) and no matter what, if I install a program or reboot my PC, I can no longer connect to the internet. As long as I don't install anything, or reboot, it works fine.

I know this is an NT forum, but I can not get answers any where else. I was under the assumption that ME was not going to be released to the public until Sept 14th. However I am seeing alot of people (mainly who buy E-Machines) purchasing new PC's w/ ME on them.

Damit the new Detonator 3 driver screwed up my comp so i reverted to det. 2 and. . . still everything takes exactly 30 sec. to load like games and applications but only like MS Word,. . . and that type go fine??? Anyone know why? I don't want to format again.

I have two computers, one is Win2000, and another is WinME, I've set up a network, and the network works fine (i can use ICS, and can see each computer in network neighborhood), and in my Win2000 computer, I can access the files in WinME, but in WinME, i can't get into my Win2000 computer, it is asking me the passo ...

Since I have applied service pack 1, my network connections no longer save user names and passwords to connect to my ISPs. I have searched in help, through this forum, tried to tamper with policies, to no avail.

Does the 'Client for Microsoft Networks' run over TCP/IP on Windows 2000? I have a network of 98, NT4 and (one) Win2K systems. The only way the Win2K system can see the others is with NetBEUI installed.

Okay, on my Win2k system, everything seems fine, but when I try to run any DirectX or OpenGL application, a hard lock occurs either immediately or within the first 5 minutes of operation. I have tried everything I can think of, including reinstalling Windows, trying every detonator under the sun, etc.

Anyone know if Mustek scanners work in windows 2000 yet? I have a 600 III EP PLUS, but no driver for it. And I really need a scanner so I have to use Win 98 until they get one, so does anyone know if its out their somewhere???? Thanks, falcon26.

System: BE6-2/P3-700/256MB/Radeon 64MB/SBLive Platinum. Fresh install of Win2000Pro Retail, Windows Update to install Critical Updates patch, install SP1. Installed Win2K Radeon drivers from CDROM, installed SBLive! Platinum drivers and latest Liveware for Win2K.

Can anyone get either Commandos game to run completely under 2000? I've tried running Commandos off the CD, and copying the files to my hard drive without using the installer (and adding a few lines to the registry).

I tried to install direct cd 2. 5d on win 2000 as i received it with my writer. After installing, win2k will not load. The adaptec site says i cannot upgrade it to 3. 01 which is supported by win2k, is there anyway to do this please.
