Using @home's dhcp server.

I'm trying to use @home's dhcp server but they require me to have a certain host name to use their dhcp server. I have a w2k server box with 2 nics. Is there any way I can have the one connected to my cable modem use a different host name than the name of the computer?.

Networking stops

Sometimes my networking stops. No error messages, no nothing wich tells me that networking died. Only thing wich brings it back is reboot. Is anyone else having similar problems?.

GP3 + MS FF Wheel

Has anyone tried to configure GP3 with the MS FF Wheel? The problem is, that GP3 can´t configure a z-axis, which is (or seems) the standard for the brakes in W2K gamecontroller setup. Has anybody a workaround for that? This problem occurs in other driving sims, too, like e.

Most Win2k Friendly Vid Card?

I've been trying to decide on a replacement for my Banshee, but am coming up stuck on what card provides the best support in 2000. I need a card with TV-Out as well. I'm trying to decide between a GeForce, a GeForce 2 MX, a Viper II, and a V3 3500.

Lockups with games!

Hi there I'm experiencing lockups in Windows 2000, but only with games. . The specs are as follows: AMD Athlon 600 (o/c 666) Asus K7M 128Mb Ram 32 Mb Asus V3800 TnT2 (Detonator 3) SBLive (with Liveware 3 for Win2000) The funny thing is, if I use the Asus drivers 3.

Modem and and sound problem

I was wondering is anyone is experiencing the same problem as me. When I'm online, and wither try to play a gam over the net or stream sound from a radio station, or indeed visit any website with sound, the computer locks up after around ten seconds, with a continual loop of the sound being played.

Lost space on my hard drive

When I configured my 10. 2Gig Western Digital Hard disk to NTFS, as a secondary hard drive ( to store data only) why did the total disk space become 9878 MB?? Please help. Thanks in advance. Abhijit.

i dont know how. . . . the thing is i managed to install the software for a logitech webcam on my win2k, and worked just fine , but i had a problem with my hd and had to start all over again now i cant do it again ,the software for my web cam doesnot even install.

I was wondering if anyone has a motherboard with the new PhoenixNet/Award BIOS? I had Win98 , and it put all kinds of stuff on my desktop and ran in my system tray , and all it did was link to a page that allowed me to d/l free programs that anyone who's been on the net for more than a week already has.

Harddisc problem...

I´m trying to take one of my old slave-discs from my old PC (running win95) and putting it into my new one (running win2k). I´m doin this to move over some gigs of data to the new PC. My problem is that the win2k PC can´t detect the HD.
