alright, to enable that start page, it's simply just an Active Desktop feature, but to get it going, find the directory Startpage under <drive>\Windows\Web\Startpage\ then go through the needed steps to enable it on the desktop with active desktop.

I'm wondering if it's possible to set up 2 video cards, and ATI Xpert XL PCI and an Nvidia GeForce DDR in Windows 2000, in such a way that I can run all my windows applications on my 17 monitor(plugged into my GeForce), and have WinTV running on my 14 monitor(plugged into my Xpert).

I recently got one of those Pioneer DVD-303S's, and I've got some weird problems. It reads DVDs just fine, but if you put in a regular cd, it goes into spasms of some type, and takes about 10 secs to get any response from it.

Hi all. . . I found a possible fix on another hardware forum, so I thought I'd post a link here for the fix. MS have updated their Product Support page with a fix for the Athlon/VIA/Geforce/Win2k hanging problem with the AGP driver.

I have a winview 601 tv/fm card and havent been able to find any win2k drivers for it anywhere. I was running ME and the 98 drivers worked fine, but when i switched to 2k nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Whats wrong with these 6.xx detonators?

I have now tried 6. 18, 6. 27 and 6. 31 detonators in win2k and most games just freeze the computer when starting them! I have a tnt card, and all older drivers has worked without a problem, its just these 6.

I recently changed the sound card, from a SB32 PnP to a AudioPCI 128 (must be read Ensoniq 1371. . . . ) and I installed WinME. I always get a random blue screen, mostly when I watch or listen to media files.

Ok here's the deal my friend had formatted his harddrive but left 13 Gigs unpartitioned b/c he thought of using Linux but after W2K he didn't. So he wanted to merge the space into the current NTFS partition.

I just installed Whistler 2257 today and so far I love it, I'm just having 2 small problems. The first is I only have 2 icons on the desktop: recycle bin and report a bug. How do I add more? Especially the My Computer icon.

This might be a dumb question. . . but. . . heregoes Celerons are usually socket 370. . . correct? if so. . . I have a motherboard that is Slot 1. . . for pentium II/III. But it is also compatible with celerons.
