My configuration: 1) One 10/100BaseT BlackBox 8 port minihub. 2) One server, one client. 3) Server: Windows 2k Server 4) Client: Windows NT4 Workstation 5) Both have one 3com pci bussmaster NICs 6) CAT 5 cabling 7) One cable going into hub from backbone connection to school ethernet (uplink port).

anyone having trouble getting movies to play using DVD station in whistler beta 1 using the RMHP? I keep on getting an MCI error or a message saying that the driver is in use. Odd thing is that it works fine in 2257 ;(.

Slow IE in BETA1 ??

Hi ! I use WinRoute 4. 1 on a NT4 machine. On my desktop machine I installed Whistler BETA 1 and I now got a REALLY slow InternetExplorer. Is there an option to change that makes it soooooo slow. It takes forever to load a site.

EAX doesn't work?

The only game I know for sure where EAX works is in Halflife. . If you try it in UT you will get bad crackling sounds. And Other games Usually screw up with it on. . PLUS I always get error logs about Sound being screwed up.

I have a copermine 800 MHz (6*133) and when it's used 100%. . playing games for instance. . it has about 72°C. I wonder how hot the average p3 gets because 72°C seems to be incredible hot to me because my AMD-K6 never had more than 40°C.

Here my problem. . I just installed Diskeeper 6, and I have set it to do a Boot-Time Defrag. To do this MS whistler needs to do CHKDSK /F, but won´t. So everytime I try do evan a normal defrag on the C: drive, its just says that CHKDSK/F is scheduled to run, and prevents me from defraging.

The system has: **Athlon T-Bird 1000MHz Cpu **Asus A7V 133MHz Mboard **256 MB PC133 Ram **Pioneer 115 16x40 DVD **30GB Maxtor HDD **eVGA GeForce2 MX 32MB **SB Live Value Everytime I play Quake2, the screen freezes and I physically have to push reset button to get out.

Have you noticed some of the long signatures containing full system specs? Kinda long to scroll past it with your scrollwheel? whell how about this Add another icon next to profile icon and when people either click on it or hold the pointar above it the usual help-message contains system specs.

k. here is the problem. . in win98 i could change the drive letters of my cdroms(g to h etc),i sometimes had to do this for certain games,like tiberian sun,which requires the cd to be in the first cdrom(first drive letter).
