I have a SoundBlaster Live Platinum, with all the drivers installed. It works fine in all progz,. . . but when i run cooledit, it tells me that my device can only handle up to 90kbps. .

My computer was freezing so I set the video acceleration slider in the advanced section of the display properties to the very lowest. After doing this I realized Direct x was disabled so I decided to rise it up somewhere in the middle.

Chkdsk every reboot?

is there any way to run chkdsk automatically at every reboot? also is there any way of ordering the programs that run before win2k loads up? i have a registry defragmentation program that runs at each reboot, any way i can make that run before chkdsk as currently it runs afterwards.

I have a Diamond SupraExpress 56i V Pro (SUP 2560). When i first got WinME, i installed it over Win98, and my modem worked fine in it. Then I formatted my machine and did a clean install of WinME. Then my modem failed to work in it.

Hard Drive Reformat with Win2000, HELP!

I have decided to reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows 2000 clean. I have backed up all my files. I don't know quite how to proceed. The Windows 2000 boot disks created off the CD are meant for use with installing Win2k AFTER the reformat and F-disk.

Tiberian Sun doesn't work here. I have Windows NT and all the requirements for the game (unless a 4 speed CD ROM drive isn't enough). I try to install it and before it even gets to Setup it says This is compatible with Windows 95/98 and NT.

3D stuttering on VIA chipset mobos

Ever since Win2K came out, I have noticed stuttering problems in 3D games (e. g. UT, SOF, Counter-Strike) that only afflict Win2K systems with VIA motherboards (Soyo 7VCA, Abit VT6X4, MSI KT7 Pro), but not on systems with Intel BX or 815E mobos or AMD 750 mobos(Abit SE6, Asus CUSL2, Abit BX6r2, FIC SD11).

I have a problem. I changed gfx-card with my brother from a Geforce256 to a Geforce 2 GTS. Everything worked fine till I tried to shut down the machince. The sign saying that win2k is saving your config.

Hi all I have a problem with refreshrates in OpenGL. I have used refreshrate utility, but still have a problem. If I use 120Hz (my standard in 1024) the games is showed as a windows inside a black screen the size of my desktop (1280*970).

Hi I don't know if anyone else lives in the northeast but we had a lot of wind over the weekend. Needless to say the power went out. After it came back on I went to turn my computer on and it goes through the bios screens and gets to starting windows.
