no sound in PowerVCR from line in using WinTV pci?

I got a hauppauge wintv(fm) pci card and when i installed powervcr for the first time it worked fine, then i shut it down and it craches with some strange error msg saying the some process was already runnin', what the heck? so, sinc then i get no sound from line in in powervcr 2, coz the wintv card sends the sound ...

i have recently switched from a Voodoo 3 3000 to an ASUS V7700 GeForce 2 GTS Deluxe, and i am very happy with it. I have major improvements with most of my games. . . most. One of the exceptions is Tony Hawk 2.

GD paging file

Um lets say i have 512 megs of ram (which i do) and i never really use all of it (which i don't) why do i need a paging file? I know that that is where the memory dumps go but my computer doesn't crash and i have it set up not to do a mem dump even if it does crash.

My installation of Win2k is only two days old and I believe that on the first day it WOULD shut down. Installed a few things last night and when it was time to go to bed I selected shut down and the sucker restarted! It does that every time now.

Hey chaps just kicked out a TNT 2 Ultra for a Voodoo 5500 (cos it was very cheap) but cannot get games to work under glide, D3D ok, OpenGL ok but Glide crashes back to desk top when involked. 1. 04 drivers, no O/clocking at all.

I am getting REALLY bad disk performance with this setup in Win2k. My HDD is constantly getting thrashed, and everything is much more sluggish than expected. Anybody got this working on a decent performance level?.

Dual Boot Winnt4 question

I got a PC running Windows 98 on a 4 GB FAT32 drive. I have a second 20 GB hard drive which I want to install Windows NT4 Workstation on to but I can't get it to work. I don't want a real dual boot, just juggle the hard disks and boot an OS off of it.

Odd Mouse behavior

My mouse sampling rate is set to 100hz via the Windows utility, but whenever I check the mouse rate with a program like Mouse Rate Checker or a similar program, the results always seem to be that the mouse is running at around 60hz.

Hi I just tried the new 3dfx drivers on my Voodoo5. Blahh, same problem as always: In OpenGL (not a problem in Glide and D3D) the picture is totally messed up if I force another refreshrate than 60Hz.

I suspect that the Montego does not run under Win2k, but I will find out soon enough. Can anyone tell me if the Videologic SonicFury (i. e. Turtle Beach Santa Cruz) ships with win2k drivers on CD? I can see that they are available for download from the website, but at 24Mb I am not interested in spending half a day ...
