Dual Booting for Dummies

Brian Frank
Okay, Im sick and tired of having to tell or see someone else tell people how to dual boot. So here is my guide to dual booting. It is helpful to have your partitions formatted to FAT32. The reason being that while Win2k can see FAT32 and NTFS partitions, the Win9x line cannot read NTFS without a utility, and that ...

Rambus is suing SDRAM, DDR makers

Brian Frank
Here's another good reason to hate Rambus. Rambus is suing memory manufacturers Hyundai, Infineon, and Crucial becuase they wont pay royalties to them. Rambus claims that theyve patented certain technologies in SDRAM and DDR memory processes.

why is my DOS prompt broken?

Napalm
My question is: how do I get the DOS prompt in win2k working like it does in win9x? I know wink2k's DOS prompt isn't like win9x, but I should still not be having the problems I am having. For instance, I cannot change to directories the way they are listed.

Is it better to leave the computer on or off?

whoisurdaddy
In my opinion, I think it is better to turn off the computer at night to let it cool down. I have a friend who told me it is better to leave the computer on all the time. He gave me a lecture about whenever I turn off computer, oxygen from CPU leaks into air each time and it is bad for the CPU.

GeForce3 all hype or really going to revolutionize gaming?

ThC 129
After reading some of the articles on the GF 3 it seems to be by all standards the jump in video architecture that win95 was to operating system architecture. So what do you the forum readers have to say?? God's Send or Just another piece of crap to get for $400.
