Thief Gold and patching it......

Has anyone tried to play theif gold under Win xp? I installed the game itself fine, however, EAX does not enable for me (I have an SB Live Value). I tried to install the patch for Theif The dark project, but when I click on the exe, it says it can't find the directory that is installed in.

Damned compaq's. Anyways maybe somebody here can help me I upgraded a compaq preserio model 7360 to windows 2000 and now Im having trouble finding drivers for it. Compaq is stupid. From the hardware down to even the way the put their cases together.

More IE5.5 troubles

I am not sure if IE5 did this before installing SP2 or what, but whenever I click on a link that is supposed to open a new browser window (such as a link in hotmail), nothing happens. Actually, if I right click on any link and say open link in new window, the same lack of action occurs.

Background: I have a small network at home. I just upgraded WinME to Win 2000 on one box while the other two computers both are WinMe. All three computers are running DHCP and we also have a DSL connection through a five port hub.

Quick Question about USB printers

I don't have one, but am thinking of getting one. do they still have the SCSI(it looks like it's a SCSI 25 ld) interface? I ask because that's what my print server uses. otherwise, I'll need an old rig to set it up as the print server.

DVDROM unrecognized by system

Hi, My Windows2000 can not recognize my Samsung 16X DVD ROM which comes with my DELL PIII system? I had it working properly before, but after i install/unistall several creative sound card driver or webcam drivers, the system can not recognize my CDROM( No letter) and i can not add new hardware.

I recently got Madden 2002 for my PC and everything seems ok until i actually begin to play the game. the game tends to freeze after a certain period of time (not specific or anything but it tends to happen 5 mins into the game).

Hi, i was just wondering what ppl think the uptake of WindowsXP is going to be. MS seem to think it will sell loads but im not so sure. Its all well and good for ppl who have already used an NT os, but what happens when joe public finds that his favorite game doesnt work on XP.
