OK, I just got Vis Studio. NET Beta 2 from Visual Studio Magazine, and I installed it. However, while it can find my. sln files and try to open an existing solution, it tells me that I don't have any programs assigned to open.

Problems copying files from WinXP CD when installing...(Some

I'm using WinXP RC2, when i try installing it, (put the cd in, boot from it, delete partition, format new one in NTFS) then it tries copying files for windows setup. So I heard that MS put a unique ID in the final RTM build of Windows XP. Now my question is: Why would you put a unique id in a CD that is mass-copied? isn't that what the RTM copy is? I'm quite confused.

can't format my IDE raid on highpoint

I have an ABIT VP6 with the newest bios, and 2 40 gig drives on the built in hpt370 raid controller in a striped set. The xp setup allows me to go so far as to create the drive, but it formats to 100%, then freezes, then says that it cannot format the drive.

Stand By Mode and other questions.

Hi. Last week I built my first Athlon system. I love it so far, but I have a couple questions. When I put it into Stand By Mode it seems to only stay in Stand By for around 15 minutes. Then the monitor turns back on and I'm prompted to enter my password, at which point I return to windows.
