Why is my USB mouse working?!?!

I had Win98 on my machine for 2 weeks (only to play a game). When I was done with the game, I delparted/formatted the hard disk & reinstalled NT4 Work Station on it. Been using it for 2 days & just noticed that I was still using my USB mouse (Logitech optical 2 button+wheel)! And this is with NO Service Packs what ...

IE6 isn't overly bloated is it ???

How does IE6 measure up, speed-wise on slower machines (PII 400mhz, 128mb PC100 RAM). I know when i tried Netscape6 it was very slow on startup, and it had a whole lot of other programs & sh!t included which i didn't want.

I've used just about every version of XP. I installed this latest version to a clean hard drive. I set up my home network and pppoe/Internet connection sharing with hardly a problem BUT!!!! Now if I load just about ANY software, I have pppoe connectivity problems.

is there anyone who has the dv500 and got it to work under winxp. i installed the drivers i got on cd and updated it, now it's driver version 2. 01 (oh, and i'm using winxp final ). i can use my digital videocam, but the other features like capturing video don't work.

Does anyone know how to turn off the integrated ZIP file support in Windows XP? I prefer to use WinRAR and when I open a directory in explorer that contains a lot of zip files, they are listed as directories, something which I find really annoying as it clutters up the folder view in Windows Explorer.

Nero Buffer problem

Back when I was using Win2k nero 5. 5. 4. 0 worked like a charm when burning cd's the buffer is always at 99% but after installing XP the buffer fluctuates (Goes down and up) And my Hard Disk also reads like crazy.

Game Redraw rate Bad but FPS is ok?

Every game I have tried Max Payne, Emperor:Battle for Dune etc. . . . even the Aquarium Scrensaver looks like it`s jumping about (Well not quite jumping but you get the drift). In games the FPS is fine but the redraw rate is terrible.

General Stutturing in WinXP (mainly sound and mouse)

Typically, when doing general things on my PC, my mouse will stop mid-movement and then continue again, as if someone is pausing the action briefly. A similar thing happens withMP3s, but instead of the sound stopping, it 'strectches'.

Shutdown troubles

Hey, I run WinXP 2600 and it is impossible for me to shut it down. When I hit Turn Off or Restart it lasts very long until the shutdown screen (saving your settings etc. ) appears, and after a while the screen freezes (not possible to move the cursor).

Has anyone been able to install Sun's Star Office 5. 2 under WinXP? I attempt to run the setup file and BOOM - the program dies immediately and asks if I want to send an error report. . Sounds like MS put in some SPF 50 SUN-block.
