How to disable c drive access under windows NT

Just wondering if there is a way to disable people from saving files to the local hard drive. My setup is Windows 4. 0 Server and Windows 4. 0 Workstations that people log on to the domain. I've set up policies and the accounts, but I didn't see anyway to prevent local file system access.

Deleted files and Ftp server

Some large files were uploaded to my FTP (IIS 5. 1) server and were badly deleted. Now when i browse in my ftproot directory with Window Explorer, i can see the files but there seems to be no way, i can open, move, copy or delete them.

i have WinXP RC2 installed, while i was playing broodwars on battle. net, it will quit to the desktop automatically by itself for no reason. . Anyone have the same problem and know how to fix it? Thx, FatFish.

Strange BSOD in XP (RC2 & Final)

Im going to describe this exactly, so bare with me for a second! Installed RC2 (2526) on my Athlon PC a week ago, system ran fine, with no problems whatsoever. I did a clean install of 2600 a few days ago, with 2 pieces of new hardware added: a second 8139 Network card and a 256 MB PC266 Samsung/Hyundai DIMM.

Accelenation. com has posted a review on the Intel 845 chipset as well as four production boards. Now, besides the difference in memory support, there won’t be a whole lot of difference between 845 and 850.

VIA Hardware send words that official VIA 4-1 drivers 4. 33 are now available The 4. 33 BETA 4-1 drivers we posted last week are now official. The drivers are the same as the ones we had posted earlier, however they can be called official now that they are on VIA´s site.

msconfig for XP?

Someone mentioned somewhere on these boards about 'msconfig' for XP, and that it can be used under Win2K. How would i go about copying msconfig to Win2K? Is it just 'msconfig. exe' -> /system32 I don't have XP so could someone post the file/s up on the web? Or is it allready availabe somewhere on the web? Cheers,.

I just saw this at MS, it's a free hotfix checker that can scan systems on a network and determine what these machines have installed on them. Just thought you guys might be interested. I know this isn't quite as cool as the product from St Bernard that Toby mentioned, but hell, it's free.

I can't seem to get the red afction demo running under XP. Whenever I start the demo it seems as if the computer freezes, then a little hd activity and then I am back at the desktop. Anybody out there got this thing running ? My conf is: AMD 1333 mHz Geforce 2 Ultra A7V.
