A while back someone had ACPI problems running XP on P2B boards: Did you come up with a solution? I too has this problem, and what's worse - my HDD is only allowed to run in PIO mode making the whole thing dog slow.

processor priorities for apps

I noticed my website lately gets a bit slower when its in heavy use. . . (duh. . . lol) and I know that its just some of the php and database stuff. . . then html loads fast. . . how do I make my php stuff and database server use the processor at high priority? because it seems it has to wait.

Anyone here knows what's the deal with my Program Compatibility Wizard? There are no words on the button, and when i clicked on it nothing happens except for the third one which closes it. BTW try to search for the file compatmode.

I got IE6 (french, I live in France) through a dvd featuring Visual Studio. Net, I installed it and found it is the 6. 0. 2483. 0001 build. Is it the final version that has just come out ? Because, when I tried to update through 'ie6setup.

My fix for D3D woes in XP

I just recently installed Windows XP and was having a problem with my system crashing every time that I tried to run a Direct 3D game. I tried installing practically every version of the detonator drivers out there and still my system crashed every time I tried to play anything in direct 3D.
