Sound Card goes Mute

I have a Turtle Beach Montego II sound card that came with my old Dell. Windows 2000 and Windows XP both detect it as Aureal Vortex 8830 Audio (WDM). any alternative to the livedrive?

I bought an OEM Audigy, thinking I could record digitally from the sound card to my minidisc recorder. Well apprarently, the digital out on the back of the pci card is only for speakers. I did some more research and apparently the Livedrive has optical TOSLink output.

Can't play games under xp

There is no way I can Play games under XP I tried two games - stupid invaders (graphic adventure) - fifa 2001 When I try to run the games the window goes black (as if the game will start) and some times ther is sound but imediately that window closes (still remaining in the task bar) and the game won't run.

HP 970cxi prints a test page when i print anything

I'm running winxp pro build 2600. My hp 970cxi is connected through USB. Almost everytime i print something the printers prints a testpage also. I've looked at all the printer options, but i couldn't find anything to disable that.

Running games on NTFS

I currently have my HDD partitioned into a C: drive (FAT32) and D: drive (NTFS). Currently all games are in subfolders of c:\games. I wish to convert the whole HDD to NTFS. Will I have any problems running games or should I stick to FAT32? Typical games currently running are Elite Force, Star Wars Racer, Quake III, ...
