Hi All, I seem to keep getting this error regardless of what I try! Apparently, It seems that its a Visual C++ problem (the actual program itself). I tried removing Visual C++ and re-installing it MULTIPLE TIMES to no use.

Im dualbooting winME\winXP. winME was acting strange and I decided to reinstall it. I saved all the important system files in the C: dir, thinking I could put them back to enable the dualboot as it was before, but it`s not working.

win 2000/HP 3300C Scanner problem

I can't find a version of HP's scanning software that will install on Windows 2000. The Software is called Precision Scan LT. The CD that came w/ that scanner is only for 9x. I've looked all over HP's website w/ no luck.

Hi guys i was checking a network pc this evening and turned up a trojan. the report is pasted in at bottom of the post. . . Great its renamed. so i go in to the directory g:\documents and settings\administrator\local settings\temporary internet files\ and look for the subdirectory that should contain the file.

For folks who have HP scanjet 5200CXI using USB connection under windows XP: I have not been successful with my scanner to work with Windows XP. I only get the usb device controller to detect my scanner but don't know what it is as unknown device.

any one using rc1 with a PPoPE client software. . . I use winpoet to access my earthlink DSL and it does not seem to work with xp. . . when it goes to load it say's I must have a least one ethernet adapter attached to my pc.

Hi guys, I just need some advice on SCSI Hard Drive Write Cache. Long time ago I had a SCSI Ultra 160 IBM drive that failed on me when I remember enabling Write Cache in Windows XP at RC1. When an error appeared in Windows XP it totally destroyed the SCSI Ultra 160 IBM drive.

Arrrggghh! They are unmanageable and I don't even manage 'em! I bet they are a pain on your end Phillip but on this end too they are a mess! 1. A NT4/NT5/NT51 user only cares about their respective operating systems.

I'm trying to install a HP Laserjet 3100 as a network printer on my Win XP, but it wont work. . If I install it with the original drivers it gets installed but when I try to print nothing happens. . And when I install it with so called updated drivers it wont get installed at all.

Hi Guys, Did you guys notice some inconsistency in Windows XP/Office XP? For Example, the save and open dialog box from word/excel uses older icons (in the left panel, desktop. . . ) and are not high color.
