Simple Quaestion - No use of Win2k CD?

A friend and I are building new computers for a few people, now, the OS we'll be using is Windows 2000 Professional and since these computers are for. . . . lets say. . . . Not so computer literate people, How can i make the OS not ever have to ask for the Win2k cd? With all Win9x OS's we'd copy the.

I have a p3 750 system running windows 2000 and a geforce 2 mx. I have been using the detonator 12. 4 drivers for a while and have had no problem. I heard about the detonator xp drivers and i thought i would give them a try.

No Trilinear in Q3A?

I can't enable trilinear filtering in Quake 3 Arena for some odd reason. . . it just keeps resetting to Bilinear. I have the 21. 81 drivers and a GF2MX which Im positive supports trilinear filtering.

Need help changing the startup Logo...

I'm trying to change the logo when Windows XP starts up, I'm using resource hacker, I made my bitmap and integrate it into the ntoskrnl. exe, but problem is the file is kept getting restored. . . Tried replacing the one in dllcache and system32 folder, it's still being restored.

Windows XP reinstallation with Athlon XP

Hi, I am planning to by an Athlon XP soon. I was just wondering if the reinstallation of Windows XP is needed to enable SSE support for the processor ? Or will the OS pick it up as it goes ? I remember reading about fresh installation with the new Morgan core Durons.

Explorer.exe constantly maxing out CPU

Almost every few minutes, CPU usage in the task manager goes to 100% & the system freezes up for several seconds. . . on shutdown, the 'Ending Task' window pops up, trying to end Explorer. exe Any thoughts ? This is on XP Pro build 2600 Corp ;-) TIA.

ISA Server - FTP not working

I have gone through all the stuff in this book here and I can't find out why my FTP server wont work! HELP PLEASE! I get this error when trying to access it over the browser: HTTP 502 Proxy Error - The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) session was terminated.
