I'm trying to set up a Hotline server but my ISP is using some NAT-Router so people can't connect to me by using my public ip. Is there a way to get around this by using som software like Dns2go(doesn't seem to work)?.

Hi guyz, was just wondering what advantage Intel have with there CPU's now that AMD have incorporated SSE Technology into there CPU's. Now that AMD have 3DNow and SSE in there chips Intel CPU's will have no advantages over AMD CPU's, which will make AMD CPU's worth there money by far.

I'm running Win2k Pro SP2 with a Geforce2 GTS using latest detonators and RE2 freezes my comp everytime I run it. I tried the Riva 128, TNT, and software in fullscreen and windowed all with same results.

I had this error when I first tried to delete it, so I set permissions up so the administrator group had control of it. Once I deleted it, I thought my problems were solved. What are some good ways to tweak my dialup connection under win2k? I use internet connection sharing, so as long as it doesn't effect that, then I'll be happy =) I am using a USR 56k V. 90 modem. Does messing with your MTU settings etc really make much of a difference? Any info would be appreciated!.

I was looking at both McAfee as well as Symantec web sites and it appears that their AV software is meant only for W2K Professional - is it that W2KServer is immune to Virus or what? Can someone clarify please? TIA.

yes ! me again ! I would like to automate this little utility but when you execute cleanmgr, a window appear and ask for which drive. . . If I want to use it in an automated way, it has to start by itself i tried cleanmgr -? and cleanmgr c: dont work.

my autostart for the cdrom has stopped working and it dosnt detect that there is a new cd in the drive when im changing cds if i reboot it works but then i change cd it dosnt notice it. its annoying when u are trying to use a cdrw disc and some games have complained.

Umax 600P scanner and W2K?

Has anyone got the Umax 600P scanner to work under Windows 2000????? The NT Compatible Hardware section lists it as: Umax 600P scanner (Umax) Yes W2000 03/01 not working using win2k driver builtin (scans all black!), but Vistascan software from Umax works fine.

Windows XP taskbar changes on powerup or reboot

I recently installed Windows XP Pro on my machine. Whenever I powerup my machine or even do a reboot, the taskbar is not normal it is gray, and plain. Usually the start button is green with the windows logo, and the bar is blue, etc.

Hi ! I want to use the Hewlett Packard external CD-Writer 7100e with Windows XP. In the hardware compatiblity lists this writer is supposed to work under windows 2000 with the lastest drivers from SCM: The external devices are working fine with the latest drivers from SCM (Shuttletech).

Is anyone familiar with LDAP? I'm connecting to a remote server, and some of my clients (nt and 9x) will crash immediately when trying to search the ldap directory. I use outlook 2000 to get the ldap info from the server.

Need a lil help with sound

I have a SB ensoniq audio PCI 128 sound card and its buggin me. I moved from a p3 450MHz system and a intel 440bx motherboard to an amd xp 1700+ and an asus a7a266 motherboard. When i did this my older sound card didnt want to make the switch and decided to freeze when windows tried detecting the drivers for it.
