Media playing problem

I have a strange problem I caused while messing around with media player a while back. I was trying to replace the Media Player executable with the one for version 6 mplayer2. exe since it loads faster.

Memeory Dumps

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. But. For some reason I'm starting to have memory crashes every few days. It seems like it happens when I surf. I can almost tell when it happens. The surfing becomes slow, and when I click to close the browser, win 2000 pro crashes.

SB128 PCI CT4700 in Windows 2k?

Hello everybody, Does anybody know if it's possible to use a SoundBlaster 128 PCI (CT4700) in Windows 2000 (SP2). I tried all the 128-PCI drivers I could find, but none seems to work. . . Any solutions?.

Dial up logon to domain with XP

We've got an XP client on Win NT 4 server network. She logs on fine when on the LAN, can get to all the correct folders, internet, etc. When she dials up from outside the office, the shared folders that are supposed to get mapped during the logon script don't get mapped, and she can't get to the internet at all.

Exchange 2k + Win2k PDC Problem

Greetings: Two boxes, both W2kServer SP2 + every update under the sun. They are both domain controllers, but server 1 was the server used to create the domain, so it's the PDC (although do we still use that term with W2K?).

Need some help setting up permissions to access FTP servers running on my Win2k box. I have unchecked anonymous login, but I want some servers to be only accessed by Administrator, and another FTP server to be accessed by my users.

Help! USB stinks!

Hello, I need some tech advice I just got a new MotherBoard and Processor (A7A266 and AMD XP 1700+ i am running Windows 98SE, 512 pc-133 ram) Im having some trouble with the USB, When i first tried to set it up there was a problem with the BIOS so i had to flash and re-program.

G'day all. I did some slot swapping and now have devices showing such as this: Realtek RTL8029(AS) PCI Ethernet Adapter #2 How do I find and remove #1? I also have some devices removed that I want to remove properly.

Well, thanks to that patch from Windows Update I can now use the hibernate function without losing my ability to use the internet - but this raises a new issue - anyone know how to change the shutdown box so that it shows Hibernate by default instead of Standby.

I'm having problems trying to download and install programs using PowerUsers accounts instead of being Administrator. The machine sometimes tells me that i don't not have sufficient resources or permission to do such things.

Greetings: I've been using this for quite some time now and it is absolutely top notch. If you havn't heard of it, or don't use it as of yet, check it out. Forget Morpheus and Kazaa, as these are complete garbage compared to Direct Connect.
