Im running the file sharing program Kazaa, that Im sure you are all aware of. Now everytime I have it running even if Im not connected or downloading anything the program uses 99% of my cpu time. This slows down my comptuer so much that I cant do anything else on it.

Windows 2000 Server Question

Is it possible to update from Windows 2000 Pro to Windows 2000 Server in an unofficial way? Also, anyone here use Windows 2000 Server as their primary OS? How well does it work? How good is networking and ICS? Application support is probably the same as Pro? Games? Dual boot should be possible too.

I just read the virus thread and thought i would separate the 2 different discussions going on there. I favor Norton Corporate Edition because it seems to have been the least trouble for me on many machines (me being an OEM and all).

I am running windows 2000 pro and have my system set up to use internet sharing so my roomate can get access through me. Now it was working great, then one day he was able to use the net but only for about 20 seconds.

win2k mysterious crash problem.

Hi. I don't know when this started or why but my system crashes fairly frequently. . . seemingly in a random fashion. The problem is there are NO error messages. Nothing is written to the event viewer logs.

Install CS as an administrator. For security reasons, people have to use the computers as a regular user, but W2K won't allow CS to be played from the regular user account. . . only administrator and power user.

Is there a limit to the number of cameras?

Running 2k, is there a limit to the number of cameras that can be accessed with video software like Videowave and Media Studio? I have 2 USB cameras and a AGP card with a video input but the software only sees 2 out of the 3 cameras.

Can a user be a member of multiple domains without a trust?

Hi all, Yesterday I set up an account for a comptuer and user on an NT 4. 0 serverin Domain B. The user was already a member of domain A, running on a 2K server. In order to see the local printers in Domain B, I had to make the user a member of Domain B.

Dear All, I have just purchased Emperor Battle for Dune. Due to my previous experiences with original discs dying on me, I have decided to make a COPY of my discs (I'm entitled to a backup copy of my software anyways) and play it off those back-up discs to make sure i don't lose the actual game.

Hi Again. I am having difficulty with my master browser losing elections on my network. The network currently consists of multiple Win2K workstations and 2K Advanced Servers with an NT4 Server as PDC (not an ideal situation, but anyway).
