w2k: Can' get X-wing vs. Tie to start

I have problem getting X-wing vs. Tie-fighter to start. It insists on installing DirectX drivers. If I follow the games installation of DirectX 5. 0 (don't worry: not to the end) it claims that Direct3D is not installed.

problem mounting partitions

I recentely discovered the potention of using mounted parttions and decided to make a small 500Mb FAT32 partition to use as my documents folder so i mounted it in my C:\Documents and Settings\DragonSoull\My Documents folder but also asigned the d: drive to it as well for easy access (shorter path ) no problem there ...

Hello everyone, Does anyone know a quick way, or utility that will allow me to see all files in use in a particular directory? I use server manager to do this now, however I might have 800-1200 files to look through.

Windows NT loses mouse when I unplug it

Hi! I'm wondering if there is any way to make Windows NT not lose the mouse when I unplug the mouse from the back of the PC, I'm using a data transfer switch to have 2 mouse and keyboards for the one PC, but when I switch between, I lose the mouse.

ASUS A7V333 - Maxtor 160 GB & NT 4.0

Just acquired the ASUS A7V333 MoBo, and plugged in a couple of Maxtor 160 GB HDD's. The File Server was previously using the A7V133 MoBo, running NT 4. 0 & SP4. Swapped the MoBos' plugged in the UDMA 6 drives, and upgraded the VIA 4in1 drivers.

Empire Earth, probably problem with refresh rate

Hi, I have a AMD Athlon XP 1700+ with a Geforce2 MX400 64mb DDR Tv-Out but a really old Monitor which it doesn't work over 60hz. When I run Empire Earth i have the classical problem of invalid resolution/refresh rate, i can't see nothing on my display, just lot of lines, but the sounds and keyboard works good.

I have cleartype enabled on my XP machine. It looks great and really does read easier. My preferred font looks something like Arial. In IE I have to choose User defined from the View, Encoding drop down.
