I have recently installed w2k and have problems installing some programs such as Encarta 2000, Acrobat Reader (yes, the version for W2k) or Need for Speed Porsche (German version, and it says it supports W2k).

Check this, I recently tried to play a video in Internet Explorer. I clicked the link and Windows Media Player (7. 0) opened up and played a video perfectly fine and then closed, then IE crashed and then I was asked to send an error report, I did and then it asked if I wanted to see more information about this problem.

i saw that usbman. reports that usb 2. 0 drivers are now available for windows 2000 ( ). . . . it says get the drivers from i've searched that site and can't find the page / drivers. i can't do the start>windows update feature because i don't have my windows 2000 pc connected to the net.

Need help in a bad way here. I am unable to install either WinXP or Win2K on a customers machine. I have used these CD's without problem in the past, & they install just fine on one other machines (doing install on one of my own as we speak).

I tried to install win XP onto a brand new computer with Asus A7V333 a Creative GeForce 4400 and a 12gb HDD on the RAID controller. I used the drivers disc as I did with my own computer with the same hardware.

Installing ACPI Support

For some reason XP didnt install ACPI support, and im wondering if there is a way to install it without reinstalling XP. I heard of ways in 98 and such, but how do u do it in XP? The reason XP didnt detect ACPI support i dont know, might be a conflict.

Final Fantasy VII crashing

FF7 crashes on the chocobo races everytime when I play in XP. It's driving me nuts! Has anyone found a workaround for this? It also crashes on other minigames, but not consistently. So far, I haven't had to play a minigame more than twice, except for the stupid chocobo races.

1) WHen i bought system. . dealer applied SP2 for me. I Then downloaded it from MS site to put it on CD for whenever i would need to re-apply it again. A while ago i had to replace the HDD. Got some crash problems.
