the sims hot date and vacation

we have just bought a new computer that has windows xp/nt on it the sims installed and played with no promblems but everytime we try to install the expansion packs they stop at 75% or just stop installing completely.

Access Denied on Shared Folder

I have the same shareing permissions on the C: and D: drives of my Windows Nt 4. 0 server. I am able to access all directories and sub directories on C: but can not open subdirectories on D:. If I sign in as another user on the same XP machine I can access all shared directories.

How about a forum that X+ years and X+ amount of posts are required to enter? Just a little something for those of us who have been around pretty much from the beginning, would have a little bit more intelligent discussion and quicker/more informative responses to techie questions.

compatibility results not on one page any more

I had not used the NT Compatible game compatibility pages for a few months until today. Formerly all the results for each game starting with one alphabet letter displayed on one Web page regardless of number of entries, which made it fast and easy for printing and scrolling.

WindowsXP shutdown/restart prob...

I have windows XP home edition and when i go to shutdown/restart it goes to that blue screen and says. . . . . saving your settings. . . . . windows is shutting down, and then it just hangs there for at least a couple min.

xp and tiger woods

i installed xp home version on asus p2b motherboard, with pentium 3, and voodoo3 2000 series card. i've installed tiger woods 2001 several times, and got it to work a couple times, only to have it not work the next time i go to play.

All right. Someone listed AVP 2 as not working in 2000....

I see this happening ALOT, for submissions for Windows NT4.0, 2000,XP....but even tho they are listed as not working I NEVER see a post by the person who submitted it to the database in the forum. Partitioning help

Ok guys here is the deal, I have a Western Digital 80GB 7200 RPM drive configured as 4 20GB FAT32 partitions. I had Windows 98 SE installed on C:, and Windows 2000 Pro SP2 on D:, E: and F: are just room for programs and stuff.

modem driver

Could anyone please help me with my problem. I am working under windows xp and possess an Ambient modem. THe present driver I have only allows me to down load at around 30,000bps and not 44,000 like it should.
