Problems in Win XP

I recently installed WinXP Pro and my new PNY Geforce 4 Ti4600 card on my 1Ghz Athlon box (512Mb). I've been having problems in Counterstrike and an older game called Sacrifice. Sometimes it will lock up, though most frequently it will just crash to the desktop.

IE Save As....

When I click on File->Save as in IE6, the Save As Type field is always Web page, complete. How do I change it so that Web page, HTML only comes up as default? Thanks.

Using computers for years and I am stumped on this problem.

I have an SB live x-gamer (non 5. 1) coupled with a ASUS k7X mother board with all the via drivers and stuff, so the AGP and such works great. Now a last year when I bought the computer and it was running windows 98, the Soundblaster IRQ was at 5 and I was happy, pop in a boot disk and all my dos games work perfectly.

I have a W32.Wierd virus in my com. How I remove it?

Anyone please help me I have the W32. Wierd viruse in my com. and I dont know how to get rid of it acording to norton I do this: 1. Insert a clean DOS floppy disk or Windows Startup disk into the floppy disk drive, and restart the computer.

Directx in 98se

In Win 2k there is a way to select an app. to run a different version of DirectX. Is there a way to do the same in 98se? I have a few games that do not like DirectX8. 1 and I want to force them to use the older versions they were designed for.

In a way this is kinda cool: my college is making it mandatory in certain classes to take a specific exam, and my upcoming Novell Network class is one of those. The bad news is that, 1. ) Save logging on with a Novell login screen in a Win98 environment, I have no experience with anything Novell; 2.

Just got myself a 'Samsung T100' phone, and I have to say it's the dogs Full colour screen, which, I have to say is better quality than a gameboy colour advance screen. Nice new polyphonic ringtones, which sound absolutely mint.

No means to offend win9x/ME users, but i will only put win9x/ME on my machine if it comes out as an emulator (like the atari or the C64 ones!). .

Stuck in DOS compatability mode

I just picked up a used IBM PL300 desktop and I'm having problems setting it up. After fdisk and formating the HD I loaded Win98SE. The load went OK but when it was done there was a message box telling me that the unit is operating in dos compatability mode and my master boot record may have been modified.
