Help File Transfer

I have not solved the file transfer problem I wrote about earlier. When I put in Disk 1 it works, after I put in Disk 2 an error code comes up: A problem has occured when tryint to transfer the file: TSData\Res\Sims3D\Objects09.

I have PC CD Rom software only. Any solutions?

Hi Donna, and welcome.... and dont you dare say "about bl00dy time too"!! hehe just joking....

Using Google, there are many people with this problem. Also, the error can be displayed for any package so theefore it is a general read error from the CD. There is no magic wand fix for this issue I'm afraid.

Apparently you dont need a DVD-ROM drive for the Sims 2. However there is a DVD edition out now so if you have got that one it may have something to do with it.

I would suggest either the optical lens in your drive is dirty or the CD is a "bad one" (so thats a trip back to the shop) . I had a similar problem with a client who could install the game on her laptop but not on her desktop. It would be handy to try your CD in anoher PC if possible in order to determine if it is your drive or the CD.

A final option is to copy the CD and see if that helps things... however thats tricky at the best of times.
