NFS Porsche and Gimme.dll

This is a discussion about NFS Porsche and Gimme.dll in the Windows Hardware category; Hi, I installed porshe unleased and it was not working. it hanged @ the startup screen. Then i deleted gimme. dlll(stated in results) and it started working perfectly. Now, what is the purpose of gimme.

Hi,

I installed porshe unleased and it was not working. it hanged @ the startup screen.

Then i deleted gimme.dlll(stated in results) and it started working perfectly.

Now, what is the purpose of gimme.dll?

Please help.

Program says "need DX5 or later" under DX8 on Win2
