The Sims 2: Graphics Card compatibility question.

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post a new thread about graphics card. . . I'm not very knowledgeable (if at ALL) with video cards and I'm on a limited budget. Plus, the types of cards sold where I live are quite limited.

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post a new thread about graphics card...

I'm not very knowledgeable (if at ALL) with video cards and I'm on a limited budget. Plus, the types of cards sold where I live are quite limited. I don't play many games, and I think Sims 2 will be the most requirement "demanding" game I will play.

I wanted to ask, will Sims 2 work with GeForce FX5500OC? I have read somewhere that "overclocked" cards won't work with the game? So what exactly is the difference between GeForce OC and no OC? Should I only get non-OC cards for Sims 2?

Right now, I'm looking at three possible cards that I will buy

eVGA GeForce FX5200 128MB
BFG GeForce FX5500OC 256MB
ATI Radeon 9250 256 MB

(those are about the only two that I'm willing to buy, because they cost less. Considering my amount of game play, I'm not willing to buy the more expensive ones)

I'm getting a new computer, and it will have around 2.90 GHz, 512 MB RAM, and only PCI slots. The GeForce is on sale right now and I'm thinking of buying it, but I'm not sure whether Sims will run better on Radeon or GeForce.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
