WinTV Problems

I'm having problems with my WinTV-GO PCI board (878-based). Well, I'll correct that, I can't get it to work at all. I installed the latest 878 WDM drivers and the latest WinTV application, but everytim I go to load the app the system freezes.

I'm having problems with my WinTV-GO PCI board (878-based). Well, I'll correct that, I can't get it to work at all. I installed the latest 878 WDM drivers and the latest WinTV application, but everytim I go to load the app the system freezes. I followed the instructions on the Hauppage Site, and installed the VIA 4-in-1 Patch (as my chipset is VIA-based). Now I can get into the program but when it asks if you want to scan for channels, choosing yes results in a system freeze...

The Hauppage Site also suggested adjusting the Latency Clock, but my system doesn't have a BIOS option for it. I really don't know what to do, as I have never had any problems with this card before.

System:
AMD AthlonXP 2800+ @ 2080MHz.
512MB PC2700 DDR-333 SDRAM
2 Seagate 80GB Hard Drives
Integrated RealTek AC'97 Audio
ATI Radeon 9250 AGP (128 MB V-RAM)
and the troublesome WinTV Go 878 Card...
Win XP, SP-2

Thanks for your help in advance!

there are a couple of things that you can try.....

1. update your bios to the latest (also what's your motherboard?)
2. update the sound card drivers (i had problems with mine and my wintv)
3. is your cpu overclocked? if yes, return it to stock speed and try to configure the channels then.........
