Half-Life doesn't work for win2k final(5.00.2195)

Everytime I install and try to play Half-Life on my computer I will get a popup error that says error in exe or something and is creating log. Just like what happends when anyone try's to run a 16bit program on win2k.

Starcraft Brood War Under win2k?

With windows 98 i just put in the. vxd files into c:\windows\system\iosubsys to make it work so it doesn't keep asking for the cd but in windows 2000 the file system is different. Any ideas on how to make brood war work under windows 2000 will be greatly appreciated.

Q3DemoTest - RC2 TNT2 - GAMMA not working - too dark to play

RC2 seem smoother than Win98 but its !#@%*& hard to see what to blast away at!!!! The gamme slider seems not to work at all - any workarounds? BTW: Det 356 drivers seem to be broken - had to go back to 352 to beat the hanging prob after ID logo startup.

When playing GPL under Win2k most of the time the game runs way too fast, so it's unplayable. Only way is to reboot the pc but sometimes the problem occurs even after a reboot. I was wondering if anyone had a fix for that.

Has anybody played this game successfully? The ingame is fine, but when it goes to load the next mission it gets about 4/5ths thru loading then lock up. system is NT 5. 00. 2915 abit bh6 w/ 450 sblive using default drivers TNT2U w/ 3.

i cant get any game requireing a 3d accelerator working right. . . graphics r fine but very choppy and i get a ping of 2100 om my own server. . . . and worst off i cant play Soldier of Fortune!!!!i got it and i cant play it.

I got Win2k 2195 (final) + Voodoo 2 + Flight Simulator 2000, but FS 2000 cant detect my Voodoo 2. . . can someone help me? Also. . . I got a SBLIVE with Cambridge Soundworks 2000 but the rear speakers are mute.

I just got the game and installed it after checking ALL Compatibility lists and when i double click the exe to start the game my computer goes to work for about 5 seconds than nothing happens as if i never clicked a thing.

i tried playing swat 3 ( amazing game ) it gives me the following error The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 01/13/2000 @ 12:48:15. 588 The exception generated was c0000005 at address F2BCC49D (<nosymbols> ) other games which refuse to work till now 1.

W2k+GeForce+UT/Q3A memory problem

Thanx to Greggy for his reply, his solution worked pretty well for me. (W2k+GeForce+OpenGL+UT thread. . . ) However, I have another problem now. Everytime I start up UT or Q3A the games take some time to precache files.

Hey Guys. Let's all send mails to EA About Fifa2000 not working in win2k. Listen. People are saying thats probably a drivers problem, but i'm suspecting that the problem with fifa is the safedisk protection (that ****ing ICD file) What do you think? I will never buy another EA Sports Game Thanks.

about half of my games work with build 2195, are microsoft just going to release this thing to the world, because to me it looks just like Win NT4+Dx7 Is Win2kpro going to be a replacement for Win98 because if it is, new PCs will ship with it and theres going to be a lot of unhappy peeps, I do remember hearing that ...

Could anyone please tell me how to correctly set up the OpenGL support in Unreal Tournament for the GeForce? Going higher than 800 x 600 in resolution results in a distorted screen, then a crash. .

Has anyone gotten close combat 4 to work on Win 2000 ?? Getting access violation. . . . I am running a Voodooo 3 2000 and SB live. Using the V3 drivers posted by this site. I am guessing this is a driver problem.

It always says cd not found when its in there I know it had a problem with w98 and it had a cd fix so i tried that on 2000 but to no avail im stuck what should I do next. Oh yeah iI have 2 cdrom drives if that is causing it.
