Problems with Counter-Strike after SP1

I just installed SP1 to my win2k, after that when I try to play CS I have this error: WARNING: UDP_opensocket: socket: NO ERRORNET ports: server 27015, client 27005 could not get TCP/IP address, TCP/IP disabled reason :WSAENOTSOCK could not get IPX address, IPX disabled reason :WSAENOTSOCK model is connecting 194.

I given up on any hope of being able to run games such as Ascendency under Win2k and I have installed Win98 on another partition. I have Win2k on disk 1 (all partitions are NTFS5) and Win98 on disk 2 first partition.

With the 428 patch, D3D performance is finally close to OpenGL (still 2 - 3 FPS slower, but that is neglectable) I wonder if there´s a way to enable S3TC with Direct3D using a GeForce DDR with Detonator 6.

Installed JK on my PC running Win2k & everything runs fine. Installed on co-workers PC which is also Win2k. When JK is started on his PC, JK wants to install DirectX 5. Any ideas anyone?.

Framerate problem in Unreal Tournament using win2k with NVID

i used to get 60FPS in UT with my 64mb Geforce in win2k before but now, after i formatted and did a clean fresh install of win2k, I play UT and I get a bogus 15FPS! especially when before i used to get 50FPS! what should I do?

i encountered a problem connecting to unreal tournament servers. after query the master server, nothing happens. i refresh the servers 3 times each, waiting 5 mins in between, nothing. after the query, it doesn't take long for unreal to display the servers.

Dark Reign 2 install problems!!! Help!

Heya everyone! Here is the deal: I just got Dark Reign 2. After looking on this page to see if it would work I went out and bought it. But now I can't even get through the install! I get the Dark Reign 2 setup is preparing the install wizard dialog box but it stops at 99%.

Force Commander + V5500 + W2K: Possible?

I have a P3P 600, 256MB, V5500, W2K: I tried to run Force Commander with my Voodoo 5500 under W2K. If it doesn´t crash after the intro, it will certainly crash in the middle of the first mission. It returns w/o comment to the desktop.

Well, looks like the SP1 fixed a problem with Redstorm's Rainbow 6 Rogue Spear, and mission pack for it Urban Operations. Fixed a problem many people were having where they had to double click a mouse button to get it to register, HOWEVER, I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the problem I am.

Has anyone had any luck with a patch for DirectX 7 for NT4 - you can copy the DirectX 7 files across from a Win9x installation - but I don't recommend it, as any game requesting DirectX crashes because of kernel32.

I seem to be having a bit of a problem, I'm running Dual Celeron 333s w/ 128MB SDRAM, 3Dfx Voodoo 3 3000 AGP, on Win2K Pro SP1 I've been trying to play Final Fantasy 7 lately but I get the game to load and after the first fight sequence, it crashes with a access violation.
