Refresh rate in Games why???????

Why is it, that in playing games in windows 2000, that the refresh rate always resets itself to 60mhz? When I play games in Win 98 its fine, but windows 2000 always goes to 60, why is that? I have a Elsa Geforce 2 video card and a P3 700 with 256 megs of ram.

Total Annihilation and SBLIve

Okay, this is strange, but when I play Total Annihilation I don't get my unit sounds any more. I just bought my SBlive Platinum and a set of fps2000 digital speakers and this is messin with me. I get the music, but no sounds from the units.

Help! Looking for multi-p racing game for NT 4?

Help! My coworkers and I need a racing game that will run under NT4. 0 SP6. I know most of you guys are concerned with Win2k, but we're stuck here for now. The machines are not new either but the worst is 350 PII with Matrox Millenium card.

Trouble with Tribes

I am haveing a problem getting tribes running under Win2000 I worked origanly but now it just locks up on fire up, in most cases i can ctl-alt-del and see that it is not responding but some times i have to cold boot my system specs are as follows AMD K6-3/450 A59X Aopen Motherboard 224MB of pc100mhz SDram Asus V660 ...

Heavy Metall - FAKK2: Can't find cd!!!

I can install the game just fine, but when I go to play it, to start a new game, It asks for the cd! I thought it was because it wasn't in the firt CD drive, but when i changed the drive letters it still didn't work! Even after a restart! grrrrrr Any ideas? brainsoft, & Co-Administrator.

Midtown Madness 2 & Win2k

When trying to play this game under Win2k, the initial MS/Angel Studios logos come up, but the game kicks out to the desktop at the point where the loading screen that follows this gets to about 20%.

hey i'm using win2k with sp1 installed, and I have a 3dfx voodoo3 2k. Okay now my problem, i tried playing metal gear solid, but all i got was the menu screen and when the game finally loaded, w/o the intro, it was sooooooooo choppy.
