Help! Win2000 won't load

Ok. I can't get Win2000 to load. When I try to install I get one of two things to happen: #1 The install runs and I get random different files each time that say invalid win2000 image file, please check cd or insert cd.

A weird thing I encountered when I ran DXDIAG under Video does NOT show AGP as being supported. No sure if I'm taking a performance hit or if it's a bug because the CPU to AGP Controller is there and UT ran it's ass off.

Does win 2000 really work with this topic ? Seems that way from other posts!. But i have it working in 98 ! and when i boot 2000, NO matter what i do it wont work ? Any ideas! Thx Kux the 2'nd card is S3-virge375.

New Via Chipset

I currently have a GA-7iX. I am thinking of upgrading to one of the new VIA Apollo KX133 Chipset based MB's. But I am not going to bother unless there are drivers for win2k. I had some major problems with my vid card and everything else.

Is there any sort of program out there that tests if a hub is bad ? As in bad i mean it like disconnects you from the network every few hours or bad packets are being sent across it. Thanks. .

Can APM be enabled in Advanced Server???

I heard that it is not supported by Win 2000 (Advanced) Server, but my PC doesn't support ACPI so it doesn't turn off after shut down. I can't enable APM, because the option is not there under power management properties.

anyone want to hack the latest reference BIOS for a TNT2U with Brooktree TV-out so the clock speed is 175core-183mem mhz instead of 150-183mhz. the link above has all the files and info. I already tried and flashed my card with my modified BIOS and got a blank screen.

Help-I gave up on Win2000-went back to Win98

I really like the stability of Win2000, how ever my OS will only stay up and running a few weeks and then it crashes. I have had NTOSKRNL. EXE corrupt, and win2000 protection errors, where the system hangs at boot and reboots over and over.

Asus K7M, W2K Pro, AGP Filter Driver?

Does anyone using AMD AGP Filter 5. 02 driver under Win2k? Curent Settings? Super Bybass=Enabled Sidebanding Enabled Aperture=256 MB AGP=2x Latest Drivers, Bios, Etc except for this I set up a system for a friend with a Matrox G400 and 256 MB Ram.
