System Stability

My Win2000 Pro is unstable as hell. When I play games it suddenlyfreezes, sometimes after 30mins, sometimes after 2hours. It also has a tendency to freeze in regular windows. My system is perfectly stable in WinME (but Win2k is so much better), so it's not because of my OC CPU, it's running at 25-28degrees celsius ...

Win2K drivers for Intel® USB PC Camera Pro Pack

I just upgraded my machine to Win 2k and everything works except for my Intel Web cam. Intel's web site says they are not supporting Win 2k, but the Win98 drivers should work. I've tried the USB drivers, but are not able to get the system to recognize the camera correctly.

Voodoo 3 3000 Win2K Problems!

I have a voodoo 3 3000 AGP and it doesn't seem to run to well under win2k! I'm pretty sure its the drivers or something! I do have the latest drivers but something is wrong! Games lag, Movies that should go 30fps go like 17fps and so on.

Options Menu with Det 2 crashes W2K

I tried out the settings in the Options Menu in the Display settings for my Geforce (Det2) and set it to Discrete Monitor Timing. Now I cannot switch it back because. . . everytime I do it, I get a blue screen (read at 0x0000000 or so).

Win2k Voodoo5 drivers w/ Voodoo 3?

I heard that the Win95/98 Voodoo 5 drivers work with the Voodoo 3 and give a FPS boost. Anyone know if this is true with the Voodoo 5 Win2k drivers? Can they be used with a Voodoo 3 also?.

Well i am running windows 2000 but recently decided it would be worth the hasle to reformat my ntfs partition and dual boot my computer so that i could load some of my more incompatable applications on to windows 98 and still use 2000 if desired.

Is there anybody who knows how to let the Snapscan 310 (parallel port, not scsi) work with the beta scanwise? I tried almost everything but the scanwise-software can't find my device. .

irq Sharing

WIn2k sets all my expansion cards under the same irq. . 11 ( AGP, SOund, and NIC ). . and i can't manually change it. I have lots or free irq's. I have even disabled my Coms ports, but seems that the only win2k is interested is 11.

Has anyone noticed problems running the nvidia GeForce 2 on an overclocked Intel 440BX motherboard? My 'old' CL GeForce SDR had no problems on my Abit BF6 at 133FSB (89MHz AGP), but my 'new' Leadtek GF2 GTS is displaying minor graphics corruptions if the FSB goes above 110MHz (73MHz AGP).

Hi I bought an epson perfection1200 USB scanner and it can't work under win2k yet I've installed the win2k drivers that I downloaded on the epson website Maybe it's 'cause I installed the win98 drivers first.

BP6_RU bios released

I do not remember having seen this on this forum, so I post the info. Abit have released the RU version of the bios for the BP6. It is supposed to fix the abnormal 50% and more idle cpu load in Win2K some people report.

I'm thinking about buying one of the above items (that also includes the FM Tuner), and I have read the notes about driver issues under Win2k in the Hardware Compatibility section of this site. I was just wondering if anyone has any other comments about the product, and if they consider it to be worthwhile.

mouse serial problems

hi im having trouble getting my mouse to work. My mother board doesnt have ps2 connections for my mouse so its serial. I dont get any cursor on the screen I thought an irq conflict could be a problem so i changed them around plus the memory range but to no luck.

Having problems with SB PCI512 in Win2k Pro

I'm so frustrated with Creative for not having decent drivers for this card. Granted, its basically the same card as the live value but you can't install the Liveware 2. 0 with it. The problem I'm having with this card is that two games I've tried to play so far.
