DVD ROM using NT

I am a newbie to Windows NT. My new Gateway dual processor (733) dual SCSI HD, using Windows NT4. 0, computer, was delivered a few days ago. The computer has a DVD player installed. Gateway informed me that there aren't drivers available for the DVD player using NT, but could be available in the future.

Win2K Wont Detect My Second Printer Port

I have a Gigabyte 6BXC Rev 2 motherboard. When I use Windows 98/Me it detects both printer ports LPT1 and LPT2. But in Windows 2000 it will only detect the first printer port. What can I do to make Win2k to detect it.

A new beta bios for the BP6 has been posted at Abit's ftp. Name of file : BP6ru125. bin dated May 17. Seems as it is an upgraded RU version with 1. 25 HPT bios. Did anybody already flashed it? BTW, in the same beta directory, there are the 1.

I read on this page that ATI TV WONDER PCI works in Windows 2000 with some litlle hacks but there are no detailed instructions how to do that. . . . I would be very happy if someone could help me? Borut borut.

Hey guys. . . . I am trying to install an older visioneer one touch paperport scanner. When I try and install any drivers which I assume have no win2k support anyways it gives me a dll error, the dll thats missing is: LTKRN60N.

I just recently switched from Win98SE to Win200 Pro. I cant use my printer cause Lexmark dosent make drivers for it. I was wondering if anyone had some ideas that I could try to get it to work (some generic drivers or some other lexmark driver that I could use) Thanks for your help.

ever since i swapped out my be6 with a bf6 and promise ultra66, there is a 20 sec pause on the startup screen where the little blue thing scrolls across. when the status bar is in the middle, both it and the scrolling blue thing right above it freeze for about 20 seconds.

3D Prophet DDR and New Dell Incompatible

Hello, I have WinNT 4 SP 6 and a 3D Prophet DDR this setup works fine on most machines. BUT as soon as you put it on the new Dell B800's it crashes when you use OpenGL. Just running the NVIDIA demos locks the machine (a power off job).

I have a external drive connection , wich until recently housed a CD-ROM. I have since replaceced the CD-ROM with a 6. 4 Gig HDD - But the drivers for the drive connection is for a CD-ROM not a ATA compliant HDD.

My PC suddenly crashed earlier today, everything just froze and the PC would not respond. First time this has ever happened to me in Windows 2000. Anyway, I pressed the reset button and rebooted, but now my harddrive is behaving strange.

Hi All, I am going mad already! I run Windows 98SE and Windows 2000 Pro on my machine which I will list it peripherals in a few. The problem I encounter is random locks up in Windows 98SE ONLY. Windows 2000 Pro seems to be running stable as a horse.

Sidewinder and Win2K

I have both a Sidewinder Gamepad and the Sidewinder FF Wheel. When I try and install the gamepad, I do the Sidewinder autodetect, and it comes back as a Sidewinder 3D Pro. When I try and install the FF Wheel, it will install ok, but the status keeps changing from OK to NOT CONNECTED.
