Need a Win2k Webcam quickly.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best model to go for? Will be used by our big boss for an important meeting, so must give fairly good quality image. Am looking in the region of £100 (UK). TIA.

Computer Restarts Itself - hardware issue??

Happens on games and usually ones that are not compatible with W2K. I know, why am I trying to run them. For example, the NHL 2001 demo runs fine on my old amd k62 system with W2k so I installed it on my newer Ahtlon system and during the game my computer just restarts itself.

Turtle Beach Santa Cruz in Win2k

Hi, I just bought Turtle Beache's latest sound card, the Santa Cruz, assuming that at least their Windows NT 4 drivers would work. And, sadly, they don't work. Does anyone have any knowledge to when and where I can get drivers for this product? Thanks in advance.

.inf install command missing in Win2k

W2k Pro has now without any reason, as far as I can see, lost the INSTALL option on right-clicking an. INF file. It _was_ there previously. I have tried to restore it by using regfiles from another computer to restore the and keys, but that still doesn't do the trick.

Has anyone gotten the start page to work? It looks like an interesting replacement for the desktop. I think Paul Thurrot has gotten it to work, so that means someone else should be able to get it to work.

Whistler Locks up !?

I dont understand what happens. I can run Quake 3,Counter Strike, while running other programs. and try to do just about anything to Run the hell outta Whistler. But when i am just sitting there running IE or talking on AIM or Downloading it will just turn to a blue screen and restart.

Need Opinions on CD Drive

F*cking Compaq. They released a firmware update for my model of computer, but don't mention(until I call them for tech supportsee also half an hour on hold while the guy looks for standard info) the fact that it was was for Slot, rather than Track DVD players.

Overclocking a PIII 500 Katmai--curious as to predicted resu

I just bought a new motherboard(Tekram P6Pro-A+ for $52 on ebay). . . Via Apollo Pro 133 chipset. I'm going to be overclocking my PIII 500 katmai(pre-Coppermine) from my Compaq with it. I'm curious if I can reasonably expect to get to the 133 mhz FSB (666 Mhz CPU).

does my asus cusl2 + p3 700 always on reboot clock in @466 or 701 mhz, wether i have oc:ed it or not (it runs very stable oc:ed ) it only does this when i cold boot. . .

Anyone run one of these in WIN2k? I heard you need to download software for the USB to work, and that the cd that cmae with it isn't sufficient. I tried dling the exe file, and it tries to install it, and says _setup.
