Hibernation Problem

When I tried hibernating for the first time, it shutdown fine but hung when I tried to restart. I can live without hibernation (it would be nice but not essential), but it left a 128mb hiberfil. sys in my root directory.

Q3 A3D Semi Fix!

/s_enable_a3d If you, like i have been having problems with a3d not playing when in quake3 when selecting it from the menu, try going to the consol and typing this. . . /s_enable_a3d. . . it enables a3d from the consol adn worked for me.

Direct X For Win 2k ?

Is there a version of Direct X available for win 2K or is it directly included in Win 2k? because i cant see it anywhere in my computer and anytime i try to install the latest version 7. 0a it sez that it is not compatible with my version of Windows God gave me life, the AwP gives me the strength ! "Plug&Play compatible OS..", enable or disable

Do I actually gain anything by having the Plug&Play compatible OS setting set at ENABLED in BIOS?? Or should it be disabled? Until recently I’ve kept it ENABLED, but when I installed a new network-card last week I had to disable it, otherwise Win2K (or Win98 for that matter) wouldn’t detect the card.

Startup Problem

About 3 out of 4 attempts to start win2k give me the following blue screen error: Stop: 0x00000067 (0x00000004, 0x00000007, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) CONFIG_INITIALIZATION_Failed When I do get it to start, it seems to work OK.

Get em here: To everyone talking and complaining (including me) about no hibernation, it works now on my bp6. Standby also seems to work except it does'nt shut the disks off, it's getting there! He does'nt want to talk anymore, realy, he's done talking, he's leaving the building.

Hi I seem to remember this being an issue a while back, and i don't remember if it was ever resolved. You CAN install another processor without reinstalling win2k. . . the instructions are here on the ms site: Hope this is helpful!.

canon bj200 printer

i have a friend that has recently installed win2k and downloaded the new drivers for his canon bj2000 printer. . . . he tries to install the drivers and it does nothing. . . . . no new hardware found, nothing.

here's a strange problem

i'm not 100% sure, but my computer might be locking up when the phone rings while i'm offline. i'll have to pay closer attention next time the phone rings. anybody else seen this? larry.

opengl, missing no textures?

in games such as halflife of i dont see soem of the textures when in open gl mode, such as the hand gun, it is just brown, and those little guys with the claws that shoot crap out of their heads, they are just that same brown color.
