Syncing files?

Okay, I have two computers and there are some files I'd like to keep synced without having to manually update them. One runs Win2k solely, and my other one currently runs Win2k and ME. I just want the sync to be going on under just Win2k, because ME isnt really that important.

I have setup a server in my network and I wonder how I can setup my users so their profiles are located on the server. I tried to set the profile path to: //Sever/server d/users/username I named the server to server and a partitition to server d and created a catalog users and copied my former profile from my compu ...

Printer Sharing Problems

Hi everyone. I am having problems when sharing my HP LaserJet 4Plus. I have a small network, 2 computer network. Both computers are win2k pro and have file/printer sharing enabled. the printer is setup on my P2 300.

Zone Alarm has blocked the second pc in my small home network from using the internet. I have Internet connection sharing set up with mine as the server. How do I tweak Zone alarm so it allows the other pc access? Or is it not possible.

Only Administrators can access Internet

Help! Don't know what I did (don't think I did anything), but now only administrators can access the internet from my Win2kPro machine. Any ideas - I really don't want everyone to have to be an administrator.

I'm running Win2k with SP1 installed, the other day I was trying to setup my Dreamcast machine to dailup to connect to my Win2k Box, I have a nice USR 56k modem installed on my Win2k Box, so here's what I did.

I am having problem using Update command to get the internet servers list. Whenever I click Update, the game would start getting the list but half way through the list, I would lose the internet connection and I would never get the list.

Hi Can anyone tell me how to turn off shared files and printers. Im running NT SP 6A I'm also using Norton 2001 internet security. I went into network but could'nt see anything. Thanks. .

I building a home network and I'm thinking of security. I will have a server with two nics, one is connected to the internet and one to the network via a switch. All the other computers in the netwok will also be connected to the switch.

I have a laptop that I want to make a ghost image of the hard drive. I want to create a network bootdisk, so I can connect to a share on my other computer, to store the image to. I have a packet driver for DOS for the network card, but I am not sure what to put in my config.

ME/9x can't see my Win2k box!

Ive tried and tried to get ME to see my Win2k only box, but I cant. Ive looked at my dad's configuration, but I cant see any difference. Weve got NetBEUI,TCP/IP, IPX/SPX networking and MS file and printer sharing on the computers.

Is it possible in Windows 2000 to block a user of a domain from using a certain machine. I currently have a 2000 Pro machine on a domain. Currently any domain user (which is over 1000 users) can log onto my machine.

Setup: 1 - 8 port hub 10mb (cheap) 1 - 4 port DLink Router 10/100 5 - Computers Problem: Between two of these computers when I transfer a file, the collision light of the hub comes on and stays on during the entire transfer.

I'm setting up a windows 2000 test network to replace our current Novell network, and I need to come up with login scripts that will map a series of drives. They have to work across all Windows versions (95,98,ME,NT,2k)and so far I've had no luck.

Win 2K and ICS failed with SP1

My Win 2K machine is the server for a home ICS network. It was working until I installed SP1. Now, the client can contact the internet, resolve IP addresses, but not load the pages. I get the web site found, waiting for reply in the status bar, but no info ever gets to the client.
