Whether it is the Normal State or Safe Mode, I log in and seconds later I'm logged out. I figured it could be a possible corrupted sys32 file. So I used my windows CD and copied over userinit. exe or wsaupdater.

file deletion trouble

hi, i have a. mpg file i want to delete, but whenever i try to do so, it just ignores the delete command. No error messages, nothing. any other action i try whith this file also gets ignored; moving, opening, anything.

I found some posts online about a new spyware threat called spywarebot. It looks like it could be a spy falcon / spy sheriff / spyware quake variant - I think. I have not had the chance to infect our test system with it yet, so I thought I would ask if any of you have been hit with this or know someone who has been.

My friend downloaded a file of of limewire. It says it's an mpeg but it doesn't open with anything I've tried. I tried to delete it but nothing happens. The delete option isn't there when I right-click and if I press the delete key nothing happens.

CHKDSK Corrupted?

A few days back i had a Trojan on my computer which i deleted but ever since then my computer got slow so i went to taskmanager to see what the problem was and I noticed chkdsk. exe takes up a lot of CPU memory which makes everything slow this did'nt happen before so i'm wondering if it's corrupted?.

Hi. I think I've picked up a virus or something (my computer not me!) I'll be scrolling or typing and the screen will freeze up to a minute or so and then unfreeze. It's happening every few minutes now and even when I'm not online.

Hello, Whenever I seach with goggle if I click the link it gets diverted to ramdom sites. Normally other unheard of search engines sometimes to hard core filth. Any ideas how I can stop being diverted? I mean the filths ok, the seach engines are almost unbearable.

chkdsk help!

There's a problem with my pc where it says I have a problem with one of my hard drives and it runs a chkdsk check everytime I turn on my pc. Whilst running chkdsk, it stops at 93% and then stays like that for 5-10 mins and then brings me onto my desktop.

My friend has an toshiba labtop just bought it. when it loads up it doesnt even get to desktop. it either freezes on startup screen or restarts itself ive tried starting in safe mode and all the other but it just keeps restart and i have no idea what it is.

Hmm, seems that my brother has been infected with malware to the extent that some of this crap can't be removed with Spybot nor even Adaware PE The other annoying thing is that I can't install any of the latest security patches for the OS, XP Home as when I attempt to install them the machine spontaneously reboots ...
