My Photoshop 5.5 wont run...

i have Photoshop 5. 5, but after i start to run the program, the thing starts to load, but after a while the startup screen just disappear. even i reinstall the whole program, the same thing happens.

I have searched the forums, but no one has asked this question before (which indicates that it is stupid. . ?!) Well, here it goes: I wonder what the Icon Entire network is good for. When I click it, I am presented with a nice window that is completly empty except for the picture in the lover right corner.

very strange reboot issue..

one minute i am browsing and surfing and icq and winamp etc. and the very next second the screen goes black and the computer reboot!!! like a hacker shut it down suddenly. . . has anyone had this too? is it an icq problem or hacker? i am installing antihacker software and hope it will not happen again.

W2K Server Remote Admin Question

Does win2k server have native support for remote admin and configuration ? My server (currently linux) has no monitor so if i put win2k on it, i will need to be able to do everything remotely. Suppose its too much to hope it exports a desktop session or full command line config a'la linux.

W2K Server / NAT Translation question

Not entirely topical i dont think but here goes anyway. Currently my LAN has a linux server providing the usual network services and NAT translation/ IP Masquerading to the internet for the LAN. W2K server can do all this but a few things im not clear about.

NetMeeting not running, giving error

Whenever I run Netmeeting in 2000, I get a dialog box titled conf. exe - Entry Point Not Found and contains the text The procedure entry point SMapLS_IP_EBP_20 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.

Any way to have it when I click on My Computer to have it default to MY COMPUTER and not desktop or my documents? gets annoying. . . .

CRC Errors - WinAce

Whenever I try to un-Ace a file I get bad CRC error messages. . . . A while ago I saw a link to a supposed fix for this problem under W2K - but of course at the time I didn't need it so didn't bookmark it! Anyone else having the same problem or knows a link to this possible fix?? Thanks.

Deluxe CD Player in Win2000

What's up guys, Got a quick question bout something that's sorta buggin me in Win2k's CD player. Those of you who had MS Plus! 98 will know that it's the same cd player in Win2000 (Build 2195). Anyways, i'm on a university ethernet connection out to the internet.

IE 5, and Nat

I have acouple of questions. Question 1: I have noticed on several differnet machines with different hardware of the favorites text button on the tool bar not working(sometimes), IE does not freeze, I simply have to click on the Favorites icon and open the frame to the right, but it is annoying.

WinDVD2000 won't play DVDs

I have this problem with WinDVD2000. It installs without any problems, but won't play any discs. It only resizes the windows like it should, and spins the DVD for a while. . . But after that, nothing.

AOL - Win 2000 ??

Is there any way to get AOL working with Windows 2000 ? I installed it and I get in AOL but only 16 bit programs work with the connection. 32 bit programs think I have no internet connection. .

lost Admin password, hot to recover?

how can I recover my lost Administrator password of W2k build 2195 FAT16 file system? How could I recover the password if the partition is formatted with FAT32 or NTFS? If you´re wondering, I´m writing this using Win98 on the second primary partition
